Can you elabroate on this, I have full size tractor implements that we used to run on a Ford 8N and a Ferguson 20. I realize that these are most likely too big for a BX series (looking) as the dealer explained the lift arms would fit if extended completly but would not get much lift out it as well for ground clearance.
I am likely biased towards the B just because they are built more like a tractor. To start they have bigger tires, small tires in my opinion are a nuisance.
And then the engine in the BX is in backwards which puts the radiator in a difficult place to clean. and....JMHO

Tried to resist.....but I can't.:laughing: :laughing: This is like saying a pickup truck is more like a automobile than a Corvette because it will haul more bales of hay or something along those lines.:cool2:
I've owned at least 5 different BXs and 4 Bs and the BX is just as much a working tractor as the Bs, just smaller and lower ground clearance. Owned one L3240 and it's no more a tractor than the BX or B even though it has/had bigger bucket, bigger tires and bigger 3ph arms! :2cents:

like Bp and John have stated they are just dif. I have the B and like it a lot. Plenty of power either unit will get you job done for you. I like the large frame tractor as im a larger guy 6'4''. the B does great in field work and woods I cant speak to the BX.
If your definition of a tractor is something that can do work than I quess I am saying that.:dance1:

The comparison/debate is unnecessary to my mind. They're different. That's all I keep saying. My Ranger is different than my wife's little compact cube car thingy too. LOL I've got a lot of different chairs around the house. They're different. I could go on and on, but there's no point.
Just because they are both Kubotas, both cost about the same, both are intended to do some work. Just as a fancy F series mower or a skid steer might also be about the same price and all of them, all of them might have that same 1 liter Kubota diesel engine. You might find 4 or 5 different machines at a Kubota dealership that cost about $14-15K and have that same engine. But they're all different and targeted at different buyers. It's really that simple. Shoot, there's likely a Kubota RTV with roughly that price and possibly that same 1 liter Kubota diesel engine. So?
Buy what's right for you and your tasks. That's precisely why Kubota makes all these machines, with the same engine, at about the same price point. B, BX, F series, Skidsteer, RTV.

The BX can handle standard Cat 1 stuff, but since the machine is lower, it can only pick it up so high. That's the reality. The BX comes with smaller tires and wheels. Does that make it "bad"? hahahaha The RTV also comes with smaller wheels and tires than an 18 wheeler and cannot carry anywhere near as much, does that make the RTV bad? Silliness.
Neither the B nor the BX have the lower arm features of Kubotas deluxe tractors. The lower arms on both adjust with turnbuckles. Ack!!! Both the B and the BX can benefit from having aftermarket lower arm adjusters adapted. My memory isn't good enough to remember the TBN member who makes and sells GREAT lower arm adjusters for the BX.
On the standard B series (the 20 series) you get budget features for the price point. These are not deluxe tractors. The Deluxe series B's come with nicer lower 3 pt arm adjusters. You can re-tro fit the deluxe version onto the standard B tractors and Ta Da!!! You'll like them a whole bunch. Cost is ???? 2 or 3 Ben Franklins I believe.

Kubota turns the engine around on the BX for a reason. We may or may not like the side effects of what they did, but they had a reason.
On some Kubota products, they may even mount that same engine, wait for it… not forward, not backward, but heavens to Betsy!!! They may even mount it sideways!!! The horrors.

BP and I are the "bigger isn't always better" guys along with a few others. BP had a BX went to a B and now back in "size" to a BX.
I've done the BX to B to L back to B to BX to B to BX to B dance and wasn't disappointed in any of them but my needs are maybe different than others and my needs have changed or I thought they had a few times and I'm sure they'll change again. I did have a B and BX, a few times, at the same time which was handy and then I've also thrown the RTV and 3 different F's in the dance.
I now have a B2620 FEL BH and believe I'd rather have a BX25 FEL BH but not enough to go trade today and maybe not even enough to go trade tomorrow.........but come warm spring weather when Barlows office is warmer than it is now with no or almost no heat..............I'm happy with what I have and come warmer weather I'll check this B7100 out that I bought a couple of months ago and haven't even started or moved it since it was parked in my storage building.
