Been a Weber fan for years. Cooked on charcoal Weber for years and last year bought a nice propane Weber on sale at Wally World. I need nothing else and their products are great. I do have a nice Pellet Smoker also.

Back when I was poor, LOL, I had a local shop weld 6 inch legs onto some HD expanded metal mesh, about a 12 x 20 section,
This gadget was installed on top of a large flat rock and I'd fire up chunks of cedar and when it was down to coals I'd plunk the burgers or steaks.
Man that made the juiciest tastiest meals, and as is was in cool down mode I'd add the buns for bergers,
Well those days are far behind and it I now use a gas unit made in Australia and cooks about 4 of 7 meals a week.
One side is conventional with the other a cast iron plate that is great for frying eggs and griddle cakes etc.
That thing set me back about $500, on sale end of season but it simply trucks on faithfully.
Last fall we added a smoker unit to our 'outdoor kitchen', now if all that snow can melt we might be able to smoke some meals.
On the subject of BBQ's, be very careful of what brushes U use for clean up.
If using a wire brush, be sure it is brass or stainless bristles as plain (cheap) steel ones rust, break off and get imbedded in your food and consequently can send U to emergency.
Brass is flexible and not brittle hence much safer,
When I buy a brush I bring a magnet to confirm brass vs steel.
