On the front axles I can attach a chain however it appears that it will hard to get a straight pull using the rear axles. The R4 tires are so wide there is little of the rear axle exposed.

Put the chains in a X fashion. What I mean is hook to the right axle and the left side of the trailer, ect.

Can't really see in my picture, but the chains cross under the tractor just as Diamondpilot said, in an x and it gets it so that the chains just clear the tires.

It looks like maybe you need longer chains. I can still see some of the chain binder. ;)

Thanks. I had not thought of that. Thats why I enjoy TBN in that I can benefit from real world experience.

Harbor freight binders and chains, no problems. 3/8 chain on the tractor and 5/16 chain on bucket and Gannon. Although I use these on this tractor-trailer, on our bigger stuff, it is all USA made stuff. ;)

interesting tires on the trailer, load range?

rear hook up, gave me a scare only once and thats cause there was ice on the trailer, tractor slid to one sice about 3 inches when i was turning and hit a hole. Im on locked down and in truck in less than 3 minutes. I use a mix of ratchet binders and just binders, all grade 70 chain/hooks. DOT guy complemented me on my tie down in the parking lot one day and told me to call him if i ever had any trouble with ohp. I was coming home from my kids soccer game tonight and passed a guy pulling a b7100, had the straps tied all over the thing but to noghting that would hold in an accident, tractor was bouncin and moving foreward and back on the trailer, some people

I love this site!!!

I knew there had to be a better way to tie a tractor down, but didn't know what it was until now.

Thanks for sharing.
