Other then size of saw, type of chain, size of trees can be used as a dept guide on saw chain rakers, so if your cutting mostly small trees and bushes, probably shouldn't give the rakers a crew cut. But if using a Husqvarna, the best saw in the world, and cutting big firewood and logs then that is where a mule and a ox will work the best.

True, an aggressive chain on little twigs is the worst, and some of the most dangerous sawing I think one can do, other than having things fall on you. In brush, your visibility (of all parts of the bar) can be partial obscured.
Also, I've had little pinky size twigs knock a few chains off the bar upon contact when I didn't have the rpms (and tension) just perfect. Never had that happen in anything over an 1". Thankful for the chain catcher on the bottom of the saw that usually needs to be replaced.

Stihl makes a fine saw along with others that don稚 have the brand recognition those 2 do but Stihl isn稚 worthy of the blind praise across all models that many people give it.

All my saws are Stihl (MS201, 261, 661 and Grandpas old 028) but that is only because I have a large dealer 5min away. My buddy has mostly Husky saws for the same reason. When I use his saws I don't think they are any better/worse than mine but I do like the Husky off switch better

I also like the M tronic saws better than the older saws

On the stihl 1/4 turn cap controversy, the NFS has band new stihl purchases because they've had several people burned when those caps geysered fuel onto the operator while they were being opened. I own several stihls with those caps and I would agree, they are not the best design... Other that that, I do like the machines.

Jonsereds come down the same line as Husqvarna... Same basic saw, but nearly all models of Jonsereds are now discontinued.

just as I like all the Huskys I own...

Raker dept might have a different measurement on sim chisel vs full chisel, then there are the saw chain for sawing lumber, I only use full chisel. Years ago there use to be a round cutter saw chain, dont think they make that anymore, I thought it stayed sharper on muddy wood, but now I guess theres carbide saw chain for that.

I thought by now there be someone here that uses a feeler gauge to measure raker depth or there be a feeler gauge official measurement on full chisel chain, guess most like the automatic manual Stihl raker file measurement filer mechanism, and some like the good old fashion eyeball measuring technique, AKA barber shop filling, that's been my way for years.

At least we settled the best chainsaw in the world controversy...........................

Old news. Electrolux bought Husqvarna in 1978, then spun it off in 2006.
