Cordless grease guns

Hoss - That's a good price. There's at least two versions of the 12v gun, a 1242 and a 1244. The only difference between these two is that the 1244 has an extra battery.

The one on Harbor Freight is the 1242. Didn't know there was a 1244, but from the links I've tracked down on this thread, they all appear to be pricing on the 1242. When they either email me the invoice with shipping or when it actually gets here, I'll update with the total cost.

Guess it would be nice to have, but I'll keep the old hand pump for now when I'm away from home. Can't have every toy, I'd go broker than I already am. Please let us know how well it works when you get it Hoss.

I believe all orders over $50. from Harbor Freight is free shipping, with maybe a $5.95 "handling fee".

I was looking a some measuring wheels at around $50-60. locally... I just ordered it from Harbor Freight for $19.95 and it sure appears to look the same... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

The one thing bad about the company is lag time for your order... they can take 3 or 4 weeks to ship.../w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Me too Gordon... I must have 4 or 5 grease guns around here... I'd buy one, put it in it's special spot... a buddy comes along... borrows it, I buy another, then another... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Me thinks you're right. I hadn't even thought about that. The invoice they emailed me immediately after I placed the order showed shipping at $0.00. I just thought that was because it hadn't been totally processed yet, but their web site does have this on the "About Us" page:

Any order of $50 or more is shipped FREE within the continental United States.

They do have the $5.95 handling charge on the invoice.

Hoss - Not only that, but if you have a $130 grease gun, you have to use it. And if you use it, your stuff lasts longer. Sounds to me like it's an excellent investment. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I like your logic. If I have the EXPENSIVE grease gun I'm more likely to use it.... Therefore my expensive equipment lasts longer. I tried this on the wife. I'm not sure its working..... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

My parents and the CFO asked what I wanted for XMas. I told them a cordless grease gun. I got some funny looks, laughs, and snide comments.... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif They just don't understand! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Course, I suppose its kinda sad that I want a grease gun for XMas...... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Dan - Clearly, you were much more comfortable in my "logic" than you should have been - I never said anything about it standing up to the acid test of trying to justify the purchase of one to the wife! That arguement was only meant to satisfy low-grade justification requirements, like convincing yourself of the wisdom of buying one. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
