Cordless grease guns

How much of that stuff did you sniff?

Dang and I thought there were only 10 ways to disasemble a crowbar! See you prove my point that the uninformed or just plain ignorant people such as myself have a need for your words of wisdom! I will never be able to look at a tube of grease with jaundiced eyes again. Seriously( durn it I forgot I don't have a serious side) I really enjoy this forum. Them ol'boys in IBDOZING are very intelligent but awfull serious about their brands, I think I heard fisticuffs in the background. So tell your publisher to pull that copy on crowbars out from under that uneven table leg and rush it to the printer. You'r adoring public awaits. PS: got any of them beers left from the test?

You're not fooling anybody - I know you suspect me of finishing the rest of them before that last post... /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif Actually, I'm working on one of them right now. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

You're right - the gang here on TBN is exceptional.

With the cordless gun and flexible hose, I was going to fill the fingers of their gloves! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Sir: I have a technical question for you. My wife is starting to give me the eye ( you know, the look). I have been spending too much time on TBN and she is dropping subtle hints, ie. ,"You buy another piece of equipment and you will be sleeping with it". Could you suggest a lipstick that will cover grease stains. Will the Amsoil odor overpower tha aroma of the lipstick. The reason I ask is, if she thinks I am fooling around with another woman it will take her mind off that new tractor. Maybe a few strands from a piece of binder twine could simulate long blond hairs. I await your response with baited breath. Sign me worried!

Buddy, I'm going to have to think on that one a while. You've even got me worried, and I don't you or your wife... /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

If anyone wants the 7.2 volt cordless call Tools Unlimited out of Toledo Ohio, 1-800-537-1993. http://www.toolsunlimited.com The prices are pretty good! The more you buy the cheaper you get them for. Maybe a farmers group or even friends on here could buy a bunch of them. I believe they are ones that are missing the grease refills. Mine came with 1 batt and the gun set-up and blowmolded case in a Lincoln cardboard sleeve. I bought alot of other stuff with it and got it for $80. Ask for Mario

Dozernut, ok you have won me over. I have held MC in very high reguard for a long time now. But to find other people who knows and can put forth great works of words such as Patick "They Shoot Conoes Don't They" McManus, tis such a pleasure. As I said welcome...

Thanks for the welcome! I am not trying to knock anyone from their exalted position (MC). It is just that my children have driven me insane, and pushing dirt keeps me " tracking straight". Do you know why god gives you babies? So you don't kill them right off. If he gave you teens the human race would soon be extinct! Again thanks for the welcome! MC I still am waiting on your grease report, things are getting intense!

Mark

How often do you grease your EF-500, specifically the loader and backhoe? Would you say that you grease less by using synthetic grease?

Nice report on the grease gun. I asked about the cordless grease gun quite a while back. Not to many responses then, but if Mark likes it must be good/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif!

Dozernut - I have just concluded extensive research in the "Grease vs. Lipstick" project you assigned me to work on. (When a TBN buddy's marriage is on the line, I call that an assignment.) As evidence of the thoroughness of my research, I submit the fact that I'm sleeping in the doghouse tonight.

I know my conclusions will come as something of a surprise to you, and you're justified in being skeptical, but I ask that you trust me in this: Use the Amsoil. Your wife will think the bright red is a hussy's lipstick, and the "fruity" smell is unquestionably cheap perfume. Trust me. If you're right about your wife's reaction, your problems are over. If you're wrong, they're just beginning. I know mine are. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Rowski - How often do you grease your EF-500, specifically the loader and backhoe? Would you say that you grease less by using synthetic grease?

I use synthetic grease for three reasons: 1) They drastically reduce wear. 2) They aren't adversely affected by cold and heat nearly as much, which contributes to reason #1. 3) They resist "washout" a lot better, which also contributes to #1. I don't think synthetic grease, in and of itself, does too much to increase the time between greasing intervals. However, I wouldn't use #2 petroleum grease in anything but the hottest weather, but I can use synthetic #2 year round because of factor #2 above. I do believe that you can extend the interval between greasings with #2 vs. #1. So, from that standpoint, synthetic helps. The EF-500 manual says to grease everything "daily". (I assume they mean only when you're using it.) I don't grease it daily, even when I'm using it all day. I grease it every 25 hours. If I didn't use the backhoe at all (or hardly at all) during that 25 hours, it gets skipped. I used to grease the Kubotas every 25 hours, too, even though they recommended 10. I never had anything show any wear at all on any of the Kubotas.

I remember your asking about cordless grease guns a while back. At the time I wasn't interested. I thought about answering your message anyway, but decided that would be one of the few times I would refrain from talking about something I didn't know anything about. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Sir: If there is anything I can do to help you in your time of trouble, " I'm in the dog house now", Please let me know! Anyone who works so diligently performing tests on grease for the benifit of MANkind deserves reverence and adoration. Tell the boss that I drove hundreds of miles and held you at greasegun point and made you do that despicable act or acts. I was with you all night and no way could you have done what you are so unjustly accused of. Blame it on the dog, this sometimes works when strange odors are present. If you don't have a dog, say it was the Amsoil. Maybe I can stage a fund raiser, we have some attorneys in the brotherhood who will rush to your aid, well maybe mosey. Maybe your rights were violated, no miranda warning- that is if your wife's name is Miranda, and we can get you off on a technicality. I still have some of that binder twine so you can strategically place some "blond" hairs. You could say you were abducted by aliens and brain washed so you will have no memory of the alleged crime. Let me know if you live through this turbulent period, we are all pulling for you! Keep pushing dirt it keeps you young! R.B. aka: Dozernut
