Hopefully, house closing will be June 16th. With the house being sold, it'll be new tractor time.:cool2:

I'm looking at the G3033H with FEL and ag tires, backhoe, 5 ft rotary cutter, 5 ft rotary tiller, 2 pairs of dual rear hydraulic ports, and Pat's easy hitch system.

First question: Does anyone know about the quality of the LS rotary tiller and rotary cutter? I've seen them up close, and they do look beefy. Appears to be the same build quality as the LS tractors. I know I can get a Howse rotary cutter for less, but the quality doesn't seem to be there either. Same for J-bar rotary cutter.

My dealer is only about 6.8 miles from me, so I'm thinking of going all LS for warranty service work, pickup, etc. He's already told me he charges nothing for pickup/delivery for warranty work. I've checked with people I know locally, and they say this dealer is straight up and honest. He's a farmer from way back and still has cattle, chickens, etc in addition to selling the LS tractors.

Next question: Has anyone had the Pat's easy hitch system on a G3033H or similar tractor? If so, how does it work out for you?

I'm on pins and needles. I'm planning on selling my Farmall Cub after the big deals go through. No need for two tractors when I'm short on space anyway.

Thanks in advance for the advice! I'm a rookie on this round. :confused3:

My Kubota dealer is six miles away. It is a two-person business. Always helpful. The mechanic, who has a mildly cynical view of the world, is excellent. I like having implement selection, tractor selection, advice and service near. TSC is ten miles away and that is nice too.

The "LS" implements aren't actually made by LS. They're made by one of a couple of implement manufacturers here in the U.S. who paint them LS blue and the dealer puts LS stickers on them. My dealer also sells Kioti, and gets some in orange, and some in blue...same implements with different paint and stickers.

I have the Pat's system on my R4047H, and it makes a huge difference. The only downside is that it makes the lift arms 4" longer, so you may need a longer top link. On my next tractor I may get the kind that weld on...cut off the ball end, weld on the Pat's and the lift arms are the same length, and no hardware to mess with.

I lose track of who's looking at what machine, but have you considered the G3038 over the G3033? The FEL on the 3038 has 20% more lift capacity...a pretty big jump.

Hey GBartman. Yes, I've taken a look at the G3038 too. However, according to the implements I already have (Leinbach disc, one bottom plow, etc) I'm already over the HP recommended for the implements with the G3033H. Plus, I'm on a budget and have to have a cut off point somewhere.

I started out looking at the J2023H, but those tractors are lower to the ground, and only come with R4 industrial tires. I need the Ag tires for plowing my corn field.

Thanks for the info on the LS implements. Sounds similar to the FEL that they have mounted on the tractor. So, the bottom line is are the implements good and stout as they appear to be?

I really appreciate the comment about the Pat's quick hitch. I plan on ordering mine from the local Agri-Supply.

Jeff9366, we do have a TSC about 15 miles from me. Unfortunately they don't seem to keep their inventory up very well. Decent prices when you can find something in the store though.

If I remember right I think the LS implements are made by King Kutter I am not sure but I kind of remember someone on here saying that. I would also go to the TSC and compare pricing their Country Line is now made by Tarter and that is also a very good company. Just my opinion.

LS makes their own FEL, so it's quite different from implements. Each dealer can source implements from one of a couple of companies that make implements, so if I look at a tiller at the local dealer, and you look at one at your dealer, they might be made by different companies.

My dealer uses Taylor Way for implements. I'm sure they're solid, but a few of the welds were disappointing on the few items I've looked at.

LS attachments are made by Taylor Pittsburgh then labeled with LS paint and badges

what are you finding for a price? I'm looking at a variety of brands and the closest LS dealer is about 100 miles away. Just wondering how they stack up against Mahindra, Kioti, Kubota.

Thanks

Around here you'd be looking at about $16,500 for an HST model....this one is geared, which is about $700 less:
