Are those the final prices or what he's pulling off a paper?

Have you started dickering yet?

Those are getting REAL close to a Mahindra/Kubota.

Preliminary figures. Don't care for the Kubota because of the treadle pedal. I know there are some models with the dual pedal style, but I haven't seen any up close. Again, I need a dealer close enough for pickup and delivery. There are only three tractor dealers in my close area. One dealer is a NH/Kubota, the other is John Deere. The LS dealer in Salemburg is an hour and a half away at best.

Dont forget to ensure your tiller and other implements have the fluids included. I've seen TSC include and charge extra depending on time of year/location.. even though you arent leaning that way, its something to keep in mind..

Wind catcher,
Given the other implements being purchased, have you considered passing on the backhoe? My Kubota backhoe is 3 point so I can't go from experience with hook-up on a subframe mount, but if this is something that you plan on using extensively for a short time then moving to other implements, you consider renting a backhoe or mini ex when needed and saving the $5600. When I purchased mine 12 years ago, in retrospect I wish I had done this. Just food for thought.

I've thought about that too. I have a rental garage with aging iron pipes that will need digging up soon. There is other work on the building that will need BH work too. Then, there is the pond area that needs a whole lot of cleaning up and maintenance. It would be nice to rent a machine and do all that work, but this isn't going to be a short haul situation.

I have considered just getting the tractor with FEL, tiller and rotary cutter and see how that works out. I might still go that route and then go for the backhoe. But, if I do then I'll end up paying more to have it installed on the tractor and lose my 10% discount from the initial purchase price.

It's all about $$$$$ and which makes better sense. I do agree the BH could end up sitting there being unused, but with the garage aging as badly as it is, I need an emergency tool ready and waiting.

I bought the xr4046hc with backhoe and the reason was I live on a 35 acre farm. In Nov our septic tank backed up and we didn't have a clue where the tank was. I called the septic people and they started talking 2 grand just to bring out a backhoe and find the tank, not including pumping it. needless to say I saved that money, bought my own backhoe, found the tank and had it serviced for 300 dollars. I hasn't paid for itself yet but it is well on its way. I've started a series of ponds, put in water lines out to the gardens, cleaned out the drainage ditches along the road, dug out a 2 foot deep trench through my tractor shack and put in french drains and numerous other small projects that wouldn't have happened if I hadn't bought it. It only hurt my wallet once. I like it so much I choose not to remember how much it was. But that's just me.

Whispering Oaks - good to hear that. I was wondering about the extra expense myself, but after watching a neighboring farmer use his John Deere (big backhoe!) working around his pond this weekend, and I know what I have too, that helped my decision even more towards having a backhoe. Plus, with the rental garage and those old buried water pipes, that gives the the Jimmies every time I think about them. Those iron water pipes have been in the ground since the late 1950's or very early 1960's. An accident waiting to happen.

BTW, I've now heard about the new XR3032H series tractor. Does anyone here have any experience with it? The specs from the website look very nice. I hope to get back in touch with my LS dealer soon and get more details. Oh, FEL capacity on the XR3032H is 2182 lbs. That's really nice and it brings me closer to the recommended HP for my pre-owned implements too.

Hey guys,

I'm new to the site and looking at a G3033h or G3038h as well. Though I haven't priced all the equipment you are talking about adding to the purchase I have been given a pretty attractive price on the 2.

G3033h with FEL $15,800

The dealer is also offered me a lightly used (130 hours) G3038h with rear remote already installed for $15,500 and would still give me as new financing and 5 year warranty.

Can't get even close to a Kubota B3350 for that price and it can life 2x the load with the FEL!

Those are good prices. I'd go for the 3038...the hours are pretty insignificant in the overall life of the machine, and the 3038 lifts 300lbs more on the FEL than the 3033.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. There's a small dent in the hood but you can't see it from the seat position and it's a tractor not a 57 chevy so who cares.

He did say it's only 4 months old and 130 hours is a lot for a 4 month old tractor but like you said, over it's lifetime it's not much. Just don't want it back in the shop right away.
