One is the extra $1500 it would cost to put the Woods bh on instead of going with the BX25 (it costs to retrofit the hydraulics, seat, take off wheels, etc., to get to frame, properly bolt/torque subframe to mainframe, etc. et. al.). One more little disadvantage to the Woods BH6000 is that when you have the 3ph lift arms at full lift, you cannot also have them at full spread, and at full spread, you cannot have them at full lift. The ends of the 3ph lift arms hit the upper coupling points on the 4ph for the backhoe subframe. Scrounger (Matt) has some pics of this in the archives, and mine does the same thing. I think I am going to be able to solve this little problem with an angle grinder, however, by shaving a bit of the "ears" off.
If you buy a bx2660 and add a woods hoe wouldn't you have the best of both worlds?
The new hydro and metal parts and seat would be nice. Power is not the issue for me.
Why would they make a bx25 and not change anything?
