I'm intrigued. We just got a robot vacuum and love it.

Anybody have a model they recommend? I would use it around my house and in the fenced backyard where I can't get my tractor around easily. Not a lot of area, a 1/2 acre at most.

I like the idea of them but haven't looking into it yet. I just assume they are a lot of money, and I wonder how long they last?

We have gone through quite a few vacuums in the house to deal with dog hair, and they all work great, until they don't. Roomba is by far the best, but they are all plastic, and the plastic parts wear out way too fast.

I can think of a lot of other things that I would enjoy doing more than mowing around my house once a week. Probably my biggest issue is just wondering if the Scag zero turn will start and actually mow!! Eliminating that struggle in my life would be amazing!!!!

There are 2 kinds, wire bound like those used for invisible dog fences, and others that use a GPS (RTK) system (some use lidar), I own 3 robots.
Which ones have you used and what is your recommendation? My new yard is 1.5 acres and I don’t want a ground wire.

I was told the one for 9 acres was $12,500. The ones I’m looking at for 1.5 acres are 3-4k. I work outside all day, the last thing I want to do is cut grass after that.

My question is how well or do they, deal with mole runs, exposed tree roots, lawns that are really marginally better than pasture in some places. I would truly like to have something to keep around the house cut so I could only have the big open areas to contend with.

It would appear the poor little mower got stuck today.

I don’t think this little thing could run over a dog if it tried.
