ToolManRick,
I happened to be wondering about some of this yesterday as well. I mow my ditches with a Shenniu 254 w/rear finish mower and although I never felt concern for a rollover I wondered how much slope I had. I set one of the magnetic angle finders like you see in a workshop on the dash to find out. Most of my ditches are 15-20 degrees with a couple spots nearly 25 degrees. Recently I've began using a side arm mower that I built to mow when the ditches are too wet to drive through. I'm not sure what this weighs but its a 8hp motor and a 28" deck hanging on an arm about 6' beyond the rear tire. With this on the tractor I have felt it get a little light on the high side rear tire a couple of times. Because of this I would have no concern on "good" ground crossing 20 degree slopes with the tractor and a "normal" rear implement. Of course in over 30 years of messing with tractors I've had a couple of situations that I would not wish upon my worst enemy and have been lucky enough to live to tell about them. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Hopefully with age comes some degree of wisdom and caution. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

IO guess the millions of people out there with tractors pre-rops should just ditch them and buy new ones right? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Are you voulenteering any financial support towards this endeavour? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Safety starts with the operator.. not the tractor.

Well, this appears to have inspired some creative input and that's great. I always enjoy hearing other perspectives. I hope I never roll mine over. The brute is supposed to arrive today and I'm really looking forward to getting those large logs moved to the splitting area. Too danged heavy to do anything with them but roll em' into the bucket.
