Septic & Water Softener part II

/ Septic & Water Softener part II #11
have you ever bought bleach that you couldn't "smell"? i did, so i called the company, they said if the bleach is "fresh", it does not smell, as it gets older and weaker, it starts to smell??
i have seen systems that put the chlorene straight into the well, but i have one that runs any time the pump is running, and takes the bleach from a tank and injects it into the water line, but i do put a cup of bleach in my well ever year or so, the well has the rotten egg smell, so i use a sand filter to help with that and take out the iron..then to a water softener.

Liquid bleach and chlorine tablets are 2 different animals. You should be safe putting liquid bleach in your well because I've done the same thing in the past.
