I read this comment from you:

"Texasmark- That's exactly how this high school dropout acquired a vocabulary. Limited as it is. I never skip over a word I do not know the meaning of. Always look it up. It's too easy, with the resources we have available at our fingertips now-a-days."

After dwelling upon it I now think you were referring to yourself rather than to me. I initially thought you were referring to me, my vocabulary usage habits, and my education, to none of which you have been associated. So sir in retrospect, congratulations on your new purchase. May it serve you faithfully for many years to come.

I'm a HS dropout as well. I've done rather well for myself. Some bumps along the way, but who hasn't? I'm debt free with a solid business too that carries no debt.

There is more than one way to skin a cat as long as we are willing to try.

Continued GL on your tractor purchase.

How on earth did you get your tractor half into the pond? Ha ha ha. I almost got mine stuck the other day pretty bad. I'm lucky I got out of it!

Congratulations on the purchase!

Thanks, CD. It's been a handy thing. Workin on thermal for the pig slayer to complete the hobby package. Hehehe.

OP-To tell ya the truth I dunno what brand it is. But it wasn't worth what I paid for it. Was s'posed to be fiberglass but it's little more than a washing machine tray. That said, it does an ok job shading teh seating area. And it's flexible enough that it bends pretty well when something hits it. d:^)

That half in the pond pic reminds me of something I have learned well. Four wheel drive will get you in a whole lot more trouble than it can get you out of....lol. :ashamed: Been there, Done that! I've got an old Ford 8N, besides the Kubota. I got to reading, when I first got the N, that many people had been pushed into a pond/bad situation because they didn't know that using a bush hog on the back will keep the tractor moving even when the clutch is pushed in to try and stop. I then read about an ORC (over run coupler) and it was the magic bullet to that situation by letting it ratchet the hog momentum, instead of pushing the tractor on forward. Modern tractors have this function built in already.
