what does everyone think about the Titan HDAP tires that are on gators. Do they get good traction in mud and snow?

They're crap if you plan on doing any mud/snow work. If you are going to drive on dry/almost dry ground you will be fine anything else and you will want to have a plan to get it out.

Want a great mud / snow tire ,,,, Go with the ITP 589's MUD LITES.

They are the BEST that I have found . Have several men around this area that that's ALL they will purchase for the company four-wheelers & utilty vehicles. And they put there equipment threw some hellish mud in swamps around here !!!! Want something that will get you in and out ~~~~ Get the 589's !
You will not be disappointed at all !!!!!!!!

Just installed a set on my Kubota RTV for the bad swamps ~~~~

How do these tires do

The 489s are so so. They are a mix between a mud tire and something that is easy on the lawn. They seem to wear out a bit fast but all in all a good tire. Again perhaps it would help if you told us what you want to really do with it. ;)

Ok I live on a farm. I have a 2002 4x2 gator. With just about 1,400 hours on it man I love this thing. I go checking the crops, and in the spring go check to see how dry the land is, and sometimes it isn't:D In the fall I pick stones sometimes in the mud. In the winter I have a plow and go clean drive ways out. Right now I have the HDAP tires. Yes I've been stuck a few times:rolleyes:

cat2,

That is about the caliber of tires I jerked off of my Kubota. The treads were not aggessive enough for my applications in the mud. Darkday is right, need to figure out what you plan on doing with your tires. I had the so-called aggressive ATV tires that comes on Kubotas camo versions. They would do very well in some cases. Kinda like a do this - do that tire. But I did want something that would for a fact, get me in and out of anything I threw my hunting machine in. That's why I chose the ITP 589 M/S ~~~ They might be to aggressive for some people. But for my applications, mine only goes in the mud and dirt in the fields of the farm and in the swamps I hunt in ....

Now, in my case, mine will never go threw the front lawn of mine or anyone elses yard. I hear folks say that certain aggressive tires will tear up the grass etc ////// But , if you want to stay in a clean, fabricated lawn style of enviroment, get something that will do the 50/50 thing. But if you want something to get you out. Get really aggressive. For the tires cost to much to make a judgement AFTER you purchase them and they don't work. Get what fits your needs ........:)

This show's what atv tires look liked that I snatched off of my RTV. They are good tires, but will not do what I need 'em to do. I have attached a couple of photos,
on one photo, it shows where these tires just about the limit I would want to put them in without just roaring threw it. I like to just ease around the plantation, not like in a mud race or something. These are the atv tires that kubota puts on them.
Another photo will show this Kubota about one hour after I purchased it. Didn't want to go into the swamps yet , for I knew that the tires that came with it would do the job I wanted. But don't have to worry now. The MUD/ LITES will let me go just about anywhere I need to go ...................

you mean itp-589's not "mud lites" 589's and mud lites are two diferent tires.

With 4wd you could go through mud a lot deeper then in two guns' photo on those 489s heck even 2wd probably. However him and tommy are right the 589s are about the best out there. Being a 4x2 you're certainly going to want to go for the most agressive you can. If you don't need to worry about a lawn or anything there's no question about getting 589s.

TommyHPX4X4,

I stand to be corrected, thanks, me and the 'ole friends talk so much junk about what tires, what guns , what bullets, this / that / flip / flap ~~~~
It's a wonder after some of these conversations with some of these corn feed boys, anybody know what is what, just know what it looks like.
THEY ARE ITP ~~ 589's FOR SURE !!!! NOT MUD/ LITES, my mistake.
Heck, you should be around when I call my wife other than her name, folks could sell tickets to that rodeo ~~~ ( Big Mistake) I have many mistakes in my life, I apologize for this one ....

Your JD, thing looks super mean with them tires ( 589'S, got it right this time ) YEA !!!
The photo of the Kubota cutting rutts, that was just one run, you know exactly how that Gumbo acts, heck, four or five more runs, you would be slinging the heck out of the atv tires. But, we don't have to worry about it any more, we got the 5555888888999999's >>>>>>
Hope they clean the gumbo mud off good !!!! I would imagine they will >>>> Also, mine are 27" also >>>>>>>>
