With a private owner trailer tags/trailer not being used for commercial purposes?
Maybe in California?

Proving non commercial use can be tricky. I’ve never been a fan of having to prove a negative. It’s a huge gray area.

I'll be happy to take that one (proving non-commercial) to a judge!
I can spare the time....I am retired.
I do not own a single commercial registered vehicle, and I do not have a commercial driver license.
My L48 is my personal toy.
If/when I trailer it, it is for my personal use ONLY !
When my 14K registered trailer is towed empty, it is MY empty 14K trailer.
