Then finally got to use my new Titan hiller at home. I used to spend a couple hours making rows by hand, was done in 5 minutes!

using my heavy hitch one tomorrow, sadly I am in rockier soil so can't use the furrower (drags the rocks) but 5 minutes per 30 ft row witha hoe takes care of that.

Well boys, time for me to stop procrastinating and finally do the trans and axle fluid change (and oil change of course). Anything tricky about any of that which you guys found? Also stupid question, but where's the best spot to pop the jack under, to take off the left tire to get to that hydro screen?

The hitch on the back works for a jacking point. I have spacers 1.5”, can get the suction filter out with the wheel on.

I didn't need to take my wheel off to do this, like @MoMower the 2" wheel spacers I have made it unnecessary. Even without the spacers you might be able to get it out, plenty of room to work inside the wheel

I just put the jack slightly off center on the rear axle if I only need one wheel raised. On my 2310, that rear strainer sleeve has plastic parts and an o-ring; take care not to damage it.

little lesson I learned. if FEL attached raise it a bit before jacking rear LOL
iirc if jacking right at center near the ball hitch mode unit will tilt right anyway due to weight offsets.
then jackstand should fit under axle itself.

Sometimes I do stuff at home!

Successfully pulled a "widow-maker" (leaner) off another tree after cutting two trees down. Used FEL and a chain to lift the bottom & then pulled it to the right.

The Little Red Beast did it, but blew out a hydraulic line on the FEL. I got a nice shower.

Will replace that line and one other that looks shaky later today.

I guess 14 or so years, some hoses will go. Time to do a full inspection on them.
Good work on the trees.

irvingj & kenmbz,

Oh yes, last year I had to start replacing bad hydraulic hoses on my 12 year old MF.

The very first time that I replaced hoses are the 2 hoses for the snowblower "quick hitch" last winter, because I noticed the outside of one hose was looking very "wet" (was rubbing on the raw end of the 1/4" square bar that looks similar to a big lock washer and holds the hoses on the outside of the frame).

And yesterday, I just replaced the 2 hoses for the "backhoe's boom cylinder" that one hose had a pinhole leak hidden inside of the boom at the 180 degree turn for the hoses (MF had a raw end with a small burr at this location).

For me, I'm going to replace hydraulic hoses at the first sign of any "wetness" on the outside of the hose and hopefully I will avoid a hot/warm hydraulic fluid bath...

I was rather annoyed that I had to replace one of those same FEL hoses quite a few years ago, when the tractor wasn't that old. These latest two, OK, it was time. At least those hoses are easy enough to get to!

I replaced 2 yesterday, the red & yellow ones. All good now,; that leaves one OEM hose on, still looking fine. Since it's so easy to get to, I'll wait until it lets go.

I took a chance on the Betstco FarmerHelper flail mower two years ago. So far, so good. The hammer blades they provided were lousy (inconsistent lengths / weights). Thankfully, Titan has replacements that fit and are all the same length / weight.

All assembled and lined up. Assembly took about 45 minutes and packing was good.

Is that how you center the A arm I see it spread. Do the mounts toward the center also have holes to mount the A-Arm to shift it more over?

Nope, lol, good catch. Moving it now

Instructions show right to inside of mount and left in between mount. Mounts are symmetrical so reversed that. I wanted it centered on the machine, for my use.

Didn’t have to cut the driveshaft, in cutting position is the shortest, with 4” or so of play.

And a note, the actual flail drum spins for a good 5-10 seconds after PTO disengagement. That was surprising when the all clanked to a stop as o was getting off the machine. I did not see that in the book anywhere.
