I will agree with that statement IF he had let go of the control stick and bounced it, if you watch the video to the end, you can see where he lets go of the downforce, why isn't the tractor going into pressure relief. that's my issue.

there is no difference between a starting and deep cycle battery other then plate design, one is designed to give large bursts of energy for short durations, the other last longer at lower usage rates. DOD or Depth of discharge determines the life cycle of a battery, 1000's of short discharges...

I'd love to know what your doing to gas motors, current mowers have over 600 hours and don't burn a drop for the B&S engines in them, hell i've never actually killed a motor yet.

sounds like the larger is sulfated. you would need a load test, your testing shows the smaller battery trying harder, but may be able to release more amperage.

i meant the model number of your meter, so i can show you how to set ohms on it, i have astro AI meter as well. I don't know what a idiot tester is, i just use a inline tester, unless you mean grounding yourself and touching the coil plug, cus that hurts!

if this is the coil you bought, did you set the air gap?, and you do NOT want it grounded, there should a single wire that goes to it, with the key off, it goes to ground, which disables spark...
