Sounds like the 2 coned spring washers have flattened out OR you don’t have the components assembled correctly.

Me & a buddy tackled this job. Wasn’t too bad. The bearing in the water pump went out : noisy loose & leaking. Everything was accessed from right side of tractor with frt tires turned all the way to left for extra room. Basic metric hand tools & about 3hrs 👍

I hadn’t ever changed it but all my fuel is filtered thru a $60 microsorb 3quart 10micron filter on my 550gal tank. This tractor has around 600hrs on it.

My 2013 5101E open station has this same inline metal filter up front at the cooler.

I have to tighten up my ZD1511 2r2 times per summer. 13mm best I remember.

The bigger ZD1211 & ZD1511 Diesels have an actual transmission instead of pumps at wheels. . Mine has been flawless for 3yrs with rears completely fluid filled.

I wouldn’t fluid fill any zero with hydraulic pump motors at wheels as it would probably kill them plus it robs power bad on small HP mowers climbing hills. But it makes a HUGE difference for traction, stability & ride imo

I’ve ran water & antifreeze mix in all of my farm tractor front & rear tires & both of my zero diesel mowers for years with no problems. Love it. I need to extra weight for traction & stability.

When you need an extra hand. I also use a single fork for digging up basketball to wheelbarrow sized rocks too

When I can get my wife or a helper to run my second 72 inch zero mower : we can get this place mowed in 4.5hrs & this is the BEST method I use 2815 batwing Bush Hog on my open field twice a month in addition to my weekly zero mowing

I mowed 20yrs with a 4700/4720 JD tractor with - 6ft then 7ft then a 9ft single deck rear finishing mowers. Smooth ride but took too much time turning around & didnt cut near as good as this Kubota Zero Plus I can trim so much closer with zero. The 72” zero doesn’t save any time but well...

I totally agree (y) I mow my open field with a Bush Hog 2815 Batwing Cutter every 3-4wks but 8-9hrs on ZD1511-72 weekly. WHEN I can get my wife on the second Zero : we can really cover some ground tag teaming with two 72 inch zeros

What year model is your 4700 E Hydro ? I had a 2001 4700 & it was 12spd power reverser trans. I had a 2012 4720 E Hydro that worked GREAT for mowing grass in B range . I sold both moving up to 5k series tractors in 2015.

We were saying 8on8” BC is what comes on a 5k series rear. Adaptors will have to be at least a 2” thick spacers so they’ll have threaded holes deep enough to accept 16mm or 20mm bolts holding on the 8 lug wheels. You’ll have to have them custom made. Call Lenny at motosports tech I...

Lenny out in Nevada at MotoSports Tech made me some 8lug rear steel spacers for my JD 5k series . I’m sure he could custom make you a set.

Your 55 is a 3cyl. Completely different animal than the 4cyl with cold start sensor.

I’ve been having no power issues with my 5101E open station. I replaced battery. Then a month later : same thing no dash lights = Nothing. Turned out to be a bad connection at positive battery terminal 🤬 And it wasn’t loose.

Lifting HEAVY objects needs to be closer to the tractor plus it’ll lift higher from down their on bottom. Imo. Each application it different. I lift more than I’m chaining in the bucket.

They are locked down tight with the 1” bolts. No swivel.

This tractor will take F&R fine Without using the clutch for 5-8mins after first cranked - then eventually the N (neutral) lamp in dash will start flashing requiring you to use the clutch pedal every shift :mad: (n) :cry:

My magnetic seat switch originally failed is why I bypassed it by wiring the 2 wires together 7 months ago. My PTO is working fine now. I’ll check into this ECU module.

Well this 5115M quit taking gear again UNLESS you use the clutch every single time you use the PowerReverser lever forward or reverse . Bypassing the seat switch worked great for 7months. SO ANNOYING: I’m Impatient when things don’t work properly.

Yes the original 10yo pump was worn out had been rebuilt once & was pouring fluid bad out of input seal getting fluid scalding hot. It was awful weak too choking down & stalling in deep litter. The original pump having that gearbox says 2.85:1 gear reduction. It must have slowed the pump way...

You apparently have never driven a 3.5L EB engine. You are dead wrong with your above statement. The little EB makes peak TORQUE at extremely LOW rpm & no need to rev its guts out like the much bigger V8 Requires. The 3.5L pulls way harder under 2k rpm than our old V10 ever could at 5k...

Well I was wrong : I was looking at the wrong diagram in book for my open station. F22 is the horn fuse & it isn’t blown. I have no power to horn with turn signal switch pushed in to blow the horn.

My 2020 5115M open station has a factory horn. My 2018 has the switch & wiring harness under the hood but no horn. I installed a factory horn & plugged it up but it doesn’t work. I haven’t checked wiring for power yet. My owners manual on both tractors doesn’t list a horn fuse.

These Diesel Zero’s are fine machines & H/D. I’m mowing 15+- acres equaling 8-9hrs weekly.

Thanks HD THIS is kindly what I was also thinking. I’m mowing 12+ acres I’d guess all around my farm. It’s not a smooth yard or lawn but just looks like it :D I wouldn’t want tires any smaller than the front tires on my ZD1511 for this reason mentioned.

How does the small tire diameter deck wheels do on your rough ground ? I love my ZD1511 but it’ll absolutely beat your brains out on my rough farm ground mowing 8-9hrs per week & I don’t go fast.

As mentioned the hydraulic deck lift operation is superb. So handy crossing ditches, ruts & stumps etc on the fly not even stopping (y)

The ZD1211 I sold had a good seat. Nothing to complain about at all. My Air Seat on both my ZD1511’s are a tad better but woulda been fine with a mechanical seat.

Mine is still stock as I mow a LOT of horizontal swipes on Steep Banks in both directions. I’ve noticed sometimes one of my tanks holds more at fill ups than the other side & in no particular pattern

Lafayette is only 30 miles NW of me. Those guys are brave mowing the right of ways :oops: You definitely DONT WANT one those tractors after they trade them in @ 2k hours. Trust me. I like watching them.

Tires are more plentiful & cheaper for the smaller rim size but you’ll have more sidewall give IF you mow rough ground or have stump holes Causing scalping IF you mow shorter.

The trans in my JD 5115M I bought used : was a $5k option new from factory that has 32spds & 16 additional speeds of creep. They are very rare because of the price & only a few applications where it’s needed. Kubota is good bit lighter unit in weight but a much more affordable tractor (y)

Creep speeds from .1 to .9 mph are also needed in poultry houses running a caking machine. Too bad you can’t add creep to a JD like you can a Kubota.

I had a 4720 open station I ran at max rpm mowing grass for 3-6hrs & it ran hot weekly until I completely removed the thermostat. I tried everything & couldn’t keep it cool.

It’s pretty simple with the forum members help : just unplug the sensor when the ignition fuse blows then replace the 20a fuse on a 4cyl Eng / 10a on 3cyl & your back to work :ROFLMAO:

it was the #1 ignition 20a fuse blown. I replaced fuse & new one blew as soon as I turned switch to on position. i unplugged the upper sensor in thermostat housing as noted in a different thread on here. replaced fuse & started the tractor right up...

The bearings are probably sealed bearings so the grease is just a little insurance

I replaced a relay & a pressure sensor both but it didn’t fix my problem. a new power reverser switch assembly on the steering column fixed my problem. The brass contacts inside switch was worn slap out. it also had water in it too

I’ve always fluid filled all 4 of my tires with water & 25% Antifreeze for extra weight. No weight box to hook / unhook.

I’ve spot mowed here & there twice in the dry places already here in NorthWest Georgia. My low places are still way to wet for my two Zero’s

Congrats on the Befco. I’ve owned Land Pride 72”, Bush Hog 84” & Befco 110” RFM. I’ve had solid rubber & air filled. the solid is good for real smooth ground & no flats but it’s extremely hard on the mower if your mowing rough ground. I prefer the air filled tires for my farm ground.

Ritz_VA, Needville replaced power reverser switch like I did fixing our problems.

I took front 3 torx screws out from under seat, removed cushion. All wires ok. The Magnetic Operator Presence Switch wasn’t completing the circuit. Clipped black & red wires, wiring them together permanently. Bingo it’s taking gear without using the clutch. im the only one using it so...

A JD tech told me to sit in seat, engage PTO & IF it beeped ……. then engaged PTO : the seat switch was unplugged OR bad. I did this & it beeped. I’m going to take the seat off the air suspension frame & check the switch when I take time to do it :LOL:

I bypassed the seat switch one time on a 5085E I previously owned & it did this same exact thing until I plugged seat switch back up.

This tractor & my other one both would take forward or reverse gear only using Power Reverser Lever & no clutch as long as I was sitting in seat. Now the 2020 year model quit taking gear & flashes “N” whichever way your attempting to go. I can go back to neutral on PR switch, depress clutch...

Pin diameter is diff. It won’t fit

I’ve got two loaders but never use the second one. I keep a loader on one tractor at all times but my other two tractors rarely gets mated to a loader since they Bush Hog & do chicken house work. i refuse to run rear implements with a heavy loader on banging, clanging & in the way

My buddy was going to sale his 1154 loader IF his 1854 would fit his M7060. One Loader fitting all your tractors in the shed is really handy.

The tractor brackets are probably different with the two different engines. The loader pin diameter is different sizes so it’s a no go I learned last night.

My buddy has a M7060 12spd 250hrs bought new & it’s puking coolant out reservoir as soon as it’s used. dealer told him it’s loose head bolts or a faulty head gasket. it’s still under warranty & Kubota dealer has it ….

Does a LA1154 (M7060) & LA1854 (M5-x1) loader fit the same tractor mounts ? I’m sure they are diff lengths, heights & lifting capacity. I’m just asking are they both compatible on the same tractor brackets ?

The ZD Diesels having a transmission will handle the fluid filled rears no problem but it does rob HP on hills with my old ZD1211 3cyl that I sold. I also fluid filled both my ZD1511 4cyl Turbo 72” mowers.

Don’t go the adaptor route their cheesy, very sloppy fit & don’t work good. I have a brand new one laying in the floor. $$ wasted. I removed a skid steer carrier off my H260/540M loader & installed a new global carrier assembly from JD. Simple job 4 pins as mentioned.

I fluid filled my rears 90% full. A lot better ride & way more traction. I wouldn’t try this on lesser machines with pumps at each wheel tho. kubota went to 16” rim diameter for less sidewall compression preventing scalping when hitting holes. I mow @ 3.5” but you can’t go by the #’s on...

My father inlaws 5425 would crank & run but dash was dead & power reverser wouldn’t take gear. his ignition switch was bad.

I had to clean this inline filter several times on my old 4720 (sold) for hard steering. IF the bucket is loaded too heavy : the Hyd pump doesn’t have enough pressure to properly steer tires & is NORMAL for a small tractor.

My 540M & H260 loader hoses are a little too long but they would never reach down to the frame connections. Is your cab tractor a 5115M or R ?

I run a Huge Napa 4849 HydroSorb fuel filter on my 550gal tank in side a barn & never had an issue with water or contamination. the excessive white smoke smelled like oil & the bank was very steep. idk. If it was moisture : it hadn’t did it since I run 2qts less oil With oil changes.

The book was wrong. 4.8qts filled crankcase full on dipstick & has not smoked since on my steep banks.

That’ll work. it’ll be like the older JD where loader hoses connected down under the floorboard (y) That will keep you from hanging tree limbs you mentioned. I like customizing my tractors & trucks for specific applications :love: man I sure like Green Tractors

Oh sorry. that might be possible idk. I hadn’t had those male fittings down there unthreaded from the tractor the hex nut you see against the black sticker is a jam nut to keep the male o ring fittings from turning.

Thanks Seven Gables. The 6 male flat face o ring fittings down on the mid frame has female caps on them when their is no hoses connected to them. they are the exact same male fittings as the quick couplers up top has on the backside of them. I think their called #8 (1/2”) flat face o...

Nice. I like those single connection hydraulics you & workinonit have (y) I put color coded ties on each end of hoses but I’d ran out of Orange ties. I used all of them on my KTM bike ;) The 6 lower ports are exactly in the same placement as the uppers too making it fool proof lol

I had hoses made with 90* flat face o ring fittings on upper ends to eliminate the 90* double ended fittings like came from JD on my other tractor. this is a cleaner less cluttered look imo

the used 5115M came in last night after dark. We got it transformed with the R4’s after removing the tall R1 radials & hydraulic couplings installed before bedtime Also cut 15” out of the upright exhaust pipe. 👍 Now waiting on hydraulic hoses from local hydraulic shop.

Same here. I have to start off with both tanks full to finish what I start. I’m not mowing a subdivision yard lol I also mow some very steep sloped banks (fluid filled rear tires) so I better leave my check valves in place.

Could the check valves be removed to make / help them draw equally ?

got my kit today & pre-assembled it finger tight. it came with all the needed fittings on tractor & loader including the 3rd function but no hoses

It Just clicked 300hrs. im thinking the rears are same height as your 18.4-30’s See the fender clearance. I’ll know more as soon as I get tractor here on the farm to swap tires & wheels.

I noticed one of my ZD1511 mowers seems to accept more fuel in the right tank at fill up’s where it use to be more evenly.

Yes I ordered the $713 BXX10085 assy like in my pix to match my 2018 tractor exactly. No hoses included at that price tho :cry: JD hoses was over $100ea

+1 on the implement shaft has to be extended plenty enough so it can’t bottom out raising up OR Crossing ditches. I got a buddy that broke his tractor PTO shaft off from this

Pic of your new setup ? Also of your brackets you removed from loader bracket mounts ? I put 90* fittings on ends of loader hoses so they don’t stick out so far on both my H260 & 540M Loaders. ive cut al my tree limbs up 20’ high so their out of the way lol
