Even if it wasn't going over center you still should have stops just before the cyl bottoms out. That way the piston isn't banging on front gland and wrecking it. I didn't like the single cyl so put 2 cyls and took off the single, also for other reasons.

Sounds like the hyd cyl is going over center. The pin holes are not the same as your bucket or there is no stops on the forks. Might have to weld you in some stops.

Some 3/4 ton pickups use rims that could fit, check some auto junk yards.

That is not a shear bolt. You do not put a shear bolt on that end of a pto shaft.

Check your oil level in the engine see if it is making oil. If it is it could be a seal in the injector pump. The only thing to make it make oil is the HYD pump and injector pump.

The knob is rate of drop, that's not what is wrong. The tank and PB lines are not right, the fitting must be wrong. Is the engine dropping rpm when you try and use the 3pt.and are any hoses moving at start up?

I would keep the 5740 if you have had the trans and 4 wheel dive shafts seals replaced. If not then comes the big ??, take a chance that the 40 well not get a leak or keep the newer 60 and hope that kubota got that taken care of after the 40's. ???????

Your best would be to find the cyls real close to yours and get some DOM pipe the size you need for the ends. Take the new cyjs apart then have a welding shop weld on the new DOM pipe for the base mount and rod end.

Heat would work if it did not have a rubber seat or something else and i believe they do. I do know it's not metal to metal seat.

Use a flat file tap it just enough so the edges dig in to the pvc, then take a winch and turn it out.

I would take pump back off and take a screwdriver and see if you can turn #25, if so all you need is #26. What does it say #24 is? Make sure the pump and drive are mating up. But kind of looks like to get a new key in the front cover has to come off.

How does the pump couple up to the drive gear?

I tried the buzzer 1st wired to the brake switch, but took it off because it would buzz as long as the brake was on. The buzzed was out of a mercury OB control box. Went with a flasher and put a lite so that I would see it went on the tractor. I'm almost sure the flasher is a 2 prong.

The 7800 are good tractor and good resale. I just sold mine and got a LX2610 and I'm not sure if I did the right thing or not.

I would not put a 4' cat 1 on a 65hp tractor that more then likely is a cat 2. Not only that you could lose a good friend.

Walk around your tractor and look for 2 yellow caps they are fill plugs. One is in front and one is in the back, get to know your tractor. I would just drain the hyd and start over with new filter, but use a good hyd oil. The engine fill plug is gray I think.

Take the can off at the end of the spool and see if anything is messed up in it. There are 3 or 4 little balls in there and a spring, so be on your toes to catch them.

I would say his hyd filter or trans screen is stopped up and the hyd pump is sucking real hard and pulling oil from engine into the hyd system.

Try and match your tractor and the closer your can the load well stay leveler. If you get it to high it could hit the back of the tractor and the load would be tilted fwd and the lower link arm are not all the way up. I made all my stuff at 16".

If not cracked then I say you got the wrong kit or not put in right.

This is not my tractor, found the picture on the net years ago. Thought it looked good, the person that has it has done a good job at a restore or has taken real good care of it. Don't know the model or the year just like it.

I'm with you on the forks over a grapple. The grapple just doesn't get a big enough of a load at one time. But there are few times it is handy, just not with logs and brush.

Make sure they replace the 4wd shaft seal while they are in there and the sleeve that it rides on.

Check your couplers it could of broke one loose. With hitting a tree the hyd spick maybe broke one of poppet valves in the couplers, eather way check them out.

After you get it on level ground or shop, on the right side at the firewall see if there is a short rubber hose on the pump inlet line, check for cracks or hole. Then check the little button under tractor at the bell housing and see if you have oil coming out. Then I would check the screen on...

I know that the bucket hose, all 4 are 18" #8 jic swivel female. NOTE this is what is on my B7800 and all the other fittings are the same. Also from spc it's $10.00.

By looking at some pictures I don't see a an external lift cylinders. I would say the rod went thru the piston because a spike like that would over ride the safety valve.
