My father has a 2011 Chevy 2500 that he plows snow with. Not new, but I would consider it fairly modern. Small but annoying problem..

Like 5030 mentioned, a plastic washer at the hinge point and tighten it down well. I did that on my Kubota (2 on each tube) and it silenced the ROPS. Haven't had any noise all year. I usually leave it folded down, but it hasn't impeded folding back up when working on slopes.

I agree with the others. You need a full size TLB. I'd budget about $25K to get a decent used machine that won't always be broke down. Do I need load range E tires?

I ran D rated tires on my 1/2 ton and liked them. You just have to watch out on inflation pressures with alloy wheels. Some alloys will have a max inflation pressure. Childhood Tractor

You will regret it forever if you pass on the offer. I'm sure your friend/ tenant has no problem keeping on the property until you are ready. Tell him you want it, you'll fix it, but you'll want to get the keys now.

    Understanding weight for traction

Scout by... Volkswagen ?!?!?!? Electric, no less.

The beginning of this thread lamented the potential of wrecking the Scout name. I don't think anyone could do worse than Chevrolet with the Blazer. That is a crying shame.
