    I know how you feel about slowing down. I wonder if you had a long rope or cable and hooked a pulley to the tree and ran the rope from tractor, through the pulley then to the hung tree. This way you may have a better angle to move the tractor farther.

    Man that is a huge tree. Here is Cape Breton we don't get them that big. Usually not more than one cord per tree and that is a good tree. I do know of a place where there is 30 acres of nothing big huge trees, 3 and 4 feet across. It is very hard to access thou.

    That is a great idea. The stuff in it is mix stronger than 50 percent anyways and it never gets more than -30 here so I have little leeway. I keep tractor plugged in anyway. I will test it and top up with concentrated stuff when I get it.

    Same thing with my country pro 27 hp splitter. Mine also had a problem with the valve. 2 cords the detention stopped working and could not adjust it. And I had the problem with the oil spewing from cap. If the splitter is perfectly level it works ok but the oil is foamy. Not impressed.

    I have turned the raise and lower speed knob. When turned down it doesn't seem to what to raise at all. I have it set to the fastest. The fastest is still takes about 15 seconds at 2200 rpm to raise up. I have no draft controls.

    The three point hitch was not used because I had the backhoe on for 6 months. The raise lever must of got bumped because it was at 2 instead of 0 and may have been in that position for a bit. I wonder would that have caused constant strain on the lift arms cylinders (there are 2 of them)...

    With the Kubota backhoe subframe you have to be careful installing implements. There is very little room between lift arms and the backhoe main hydro line. I already broke the hose that feeds the backhoe. Here is my logging winch install that shows this short coming.

    My pin came part way out. The bolt that held in in was missing. Think I broke the bolt off on a stump then the pin slid. Guess a fellow got keep an eye on this. This happened after about 20 hours of use. Man they gotta be able to come up with something better than that.

    I use my tractor to blow my way into the wood lot. After the narrow logging road is blown out I use my atv and trailer to get into the woods to do some cutting and burning of brush. A fire is nice to make tea and warm up I don't burn all the brush. I leaves some piles for cover for the critters.

    2 hours winching out a half cord and putting it on the trailer. It was a long winch so took longer then normal. The trees were over the bank and about 100 yards away. Winching it up on a public road was hard on the nerves.
