    Kubota L5740 front axle repair.

So after pushing snow last Monday, I came into my shop on the next day and noticed a puddle of oil on the floor by my right front tire. Figured out that my outer axle bearing went out, taking the seal with it. No big deal on that repair. Separated the hub section, replaced both the inner and...

Added side strobes to my L5740

pwt, I'm sorry, I thought you meant just the strobes. Unfortunately the details of each installation will vary from tractor, to tractor, vehicle to vehicle. For example, in my Kubota L 5740, inside the cab at the base of the left "B Pillar" (or middle cab post) is a accessory plug with switched...

Added side strobes to my L5740

Hey Gang! I know I posted my forward and rear facing safety lighting before. I realized that when I was backing or pulling out onto a street during snow removal, I didn't have any notification for traffic on the sides of my tractor. Why not a 360 deg beacon? Won't fit in the garage. So I found...

    Powered plow wings

Ok, I know that there is no perfect tool for every application. And generally the more things you try to make a tool fit, the worse is gets at doing any one job well. For example a crescent wrench doesn't fit anything. I know my containment plow moves more snow and cleans up trails better. I...

OH NO! That didn't just happen.

That is what went through my head day before yesterday. I was plowing a private drive for a small community of 6 houses. This drive is like a goat trail. Kinda steep and narrow on a hillside that winds down into a little valley. Anyway, I was almost done, making one final pass back down the hill...

    Here comes the snow!

Pic was before new boots on the 721. Here they are to the tune of $10k. As for the hoes, can't lower them without unlatching them from transport mode. To answer your Q though, no, there is no conflict with where they push. Grocery stores, Wal-Marts, etc.

    snow plows

I have an L5740, and I use a 9' angle plow or an 8' snow pusher. I haven't had any problems with my loader arms. Previously I had B3030 and a BX2660. Both of which I used Kubota's frame mounted plows. They both worked flawlessly, and are very well built. The sub-frame QA is nice for other...

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Snow Plowing with Kubota 72" plow on B3000 Cab (B3030)

RFB hit the nail on the head! L5740 does a fine job. I use a 9' angle plow or an 8' snow pusher (depending on the lot and conditions) with my L5740 and have had no problems. I loved my B3030 for getting in tight spots. It had the 60" angle blade on the sub-frame. Even my BX2660 was quite...

Turf tires - weight box helpful?

Weight is your friend when pushing snow. And my experience is on pavement, turf tires get the best traction in snow and on ice with no chains. I have had two tractors with turfs that I pushed with for a lot of years. No chains, just Rimguard in the rear tires for ballast, and my salt spreader on...

    Haying Pics 2012

First year for the L5740. She did a great job. Lots of power in such a compact, maneuverable machine. Made quick work of square bales. Especially in small fields with lots of obstacles. Loaded out 4x5 rounds and 8 squares at a time with our homemade bale sweep.

Am I asking too much from my L5740-3?

I found where my new L5740 is lacking power. I have been putting up field hay, alfalfa, and straw for the past 6 weeks. Things went crazy this year. Went from 90 acres to somewhere around 300.
