This is pretty similar to what I was trying to get across. A 100' hose is not going to reach 100' in actual use.I'd pretend that a 100' hose can reach 90', otherwise you're going to be putting a lot of tension on your hose bibs and always having to tug on the hose to get the final few feet to get to your spot.
It's going to curve, and it's going to be heavy, so if you want it straight, you will probably have to walk back and forth straightening it out to maximize the useful length. You won't be able to straighten it by yanking on the open end.
