Thanks Eddie. You're right, there are multiple options. Originally I was thinking just a pole barn with crushed aggregate/CR6 and leave it at that. Just need to park the tractors and store implements and use as workshop (either with my generator or run electric). But then I like the idea of a solid floor for dropping BH/FEL/MMM and when working on the tractors. So then I start thinking garage kit with wood or concrete floor. I could live with the wood, which would probably be easiest, but I worry about the weight and durability.

Will most likely opt for pole barn with CR6, with the option to always go with some form of slab later. And, unlike the garage, won't need footers

I'm getting bids now on a metal pole barn 36x72x12H.

I'll use standard Tehama County road base (aka crusher run) gravel like I have on my driveway.

Six inches of gravel, 2 inch lifts, water and vibra-roll each lift. Have to rent the vibration roller.

Judging by the 3 years service I've gotten so far out of my driveway, I don't expect any problem setting tractor implements on that gravel floor.

Setting implements down & reattaching them, I completely agree.

As soon as you start doing any kind of mechanical work, even something as simple as an oil change, concrete starts to look much more attractive...

I agree. That's why you can see that 24'x42' shop building in the driveway photo I posted. The new shed will free up floorspace in the shop so I can service and repair my tractors and implements.
