retired or not ... proof of lost wages (or while under contract) should be enough ... lots of people are "retired" , but do contract or part time work when ever they feel up to it. Heck, many retired folk have to continue working to make ends meet.

or is it that she just refuses to accept the facts and consequences, also known as "selective hearing"
the lawyers may say "there's a very slim chance that ... " and it gets interpreted as ""there's a chance that ... "
and "you should not ......" becomes "you should ...." the offending words don't exist (or apply) to her in her mind.
skip the evaluation, unless you want this settled after your grand kids are grand parents themselves .....
keep showing up at the dates , keep quiet in court ( unless the prosecutor talks to you ) , and don't let them make a "deal" ......
