Like I said mostly just because of what I ended up with. I've considered swapping it around but for the amount of wood I burn in a year it's pointless besides we used to do it all with axes and wedges so I'm in high cotton with any splitter.

I guess I don't know in Cord measurements, never figured it up. I'll burn 6-8 trailer loads like this. We also split for my two Sons. They'll burn another 8-10 trailer loads. Be hard to convert that to Cords for them and their methods of stacking. I could figure mine fairly easy.

Yeah I guess. Depends on who you compare it to though. Funny part is none of us heat houses with it. All goes to keeping 3 shops toasty warm all Winter.

I stack mine in a 24x12x7 lean to on the back of my shop. Right now I'm burning 2 year old wood. And that's only because we had an easy Winter last year. As I use it up, I refill the shed, ending Winter with it full. So I'm always burning wood that's been dry stored at least a year. Sure makes maintaining and starting a fire a lot easier.

I'm blessed with a good timber, good equipment and good health. So I rather enjoy putting up firewood. I never have to do it in bad weather. That takes the fun out of it real fast!!!!
