Hey cool, you got some work in. Me, I'm still pretty soggy in the back to get the massey out there, but did risk it enough to drive out there to the barn to fetch 60" mmm. Last year, I hardly mowed with that deck, but I'm gonna start using it this year. That deflector though, soooo stupid design! It doesn't even fold up full 90 deg. I'm gonna have to mess with it a little bit.

Yes, I'm paying for yesterdays little bit of work this morning.

Not all of the property is dry enough to run the tractor, don't want tire ruts all over.

I still have isolated areas of snow/ice, just off of the back of the house there is about 3' of snow still on the ground, leaking water.

It seems just about all of us are adjusting/adding/etc... one thing or another on our tractors to make them more functional to each of our preferences.

It does add quite a bit of “noise” to that loader arm. But function over form will do.

Love it! Nice work!

Thanks! And thanks for the PM answer.

I just drilled an extra hole in that plate and used a hose clamp. It’s mounted firmly so we’ll see.

No problem! I think these MF GC's are every bit as good a machine as the much more prevailent BX or 1 Series machines and I'm always happy to help a fellow owner get the most of of their little red machine.

That said, I need to see the pics of that bad boy all hooked up and ready to go when the grapple arrives.

What one did you buy? EA Wicked Grapple? Precision Mfg mini322?

I actually ended up ordering “The Thumb” from Greens Machine Shop. $565 shipped.

It’s a 20” wide add on type. I will get two extra bases, that way it can be moved from my bucket, to my debris forks, to my pallet forks. All by pulling two pins.

Gonna get my moneys worth, lol.

A funny,

I spent about 3 minutes turning the factory loader control knob, figuring it was threaded...

It’s friction fit...lol

That's smart. I have pallet forks and already converted my factory bucket when I added the SSQA front assembly. The $2000+ for a lightweight grapple is a hard pill to swallow. I may have to take a hard look at that thumb.

You're not alone lol. Spent 20 seconds spinning that bad boy myself before I thought maybe just pull?!

That should be a great tool addition to your tractor.

Which valve kit did you get from WRLong, and did you fill out their FEL dimensions form to have them supply everything with the kit to do the install.

KC

Yup, WRlong. I ordered it through my dealer as a kit. It had everything needed. I used a trailer 4 way plug for the wires, to disconnect.

Just realized I didn’t actually answer your question. The only markings on the box was the MF1805. So I don’t know which # kit it was.

And Cglaser you are correct, as far as I’m concerned the MFs are better then the Bota or Deere. Virtually same performance, no treadle pedal and no proprietary SSQA.

Thanks, sounds like your MF dealer has done the work of filling out the WRLong FEL dimensions on their form.

I have the older DL95. Same thing, I just ordered through my dealer who obviously knows I have a GC1710/DL95 and the kit was all sized to install out of the box. I also used a 4pin trailer plug and cut 2 of the 4 wires off flush to be able to remove my FEL. I'll probably switch the plug to a 2 lead weatherproof plug down the line as I get my machine dirty and power wash it... Water is the enemy of electronics so I want something more resistant to the moisture

Yeh we're all tinkering with them, but hey, all part of the fun.

I'm almost inclined to, but I'm worried something gets chucked out of that deck, hits one of my ducks or something else I'd rather not nail.

Your valve looking good, btw.

Mine is also a DL95, guess for the valve they are the same.

It does launch stuff once in awhile with the deflector off. The kiddos aren’t allowed outside while I mow.

Thanks Gene
