    I hate to see this...

We had a Case Vac 14 and my Dad built a box for the top of the 3pt disc. When we were small we sat on the box, my Dad would stop and we would pick up the rocks, we would get a penny for each. I remember driving the Case when I was young, I had to slide off of the seat to reach the peddles. My...

    Cleaning gunky hydraulic quick disconnects

Fluid Film for pto splines, any light lubing. WD-40 for some cleaning. Spray bottle with rubbing alcohol for cleaning recessed zerks on my BH after cleaning the excess out with the screwdriver blade on my knife. Would rubbing alcohol be ok for cleaning out hydraulic couplers?

zero-turn mower, turning around w/o wrecking the grass

I have a Husqvarna zero turn and I have scrub marks here and there every time I mow. I could do better if I wanted to, but I don't have a lawn, but a yard out in the country. Close to 2 acres of mowing. Heavy with white clover, thick, but doesn't grow tall. Mow every 2-2 1/2 weeks.

Anyone use identity theft protection services?

I have LifeLock, they monitor my bank account, credit cards and the credit monitor agencies. In 2018 I was buying a Silverado, I was going to pay cash, but they talked me into taking a loan and save me a $1000. As I was signing the paper work I got a call from LifeLock that someone just...

I forgot to mention that I just turned 76 on Tuesday.

As we age, Growing old is the most extreme sport.

I hurt my left inside knee end of 06 into summer 07. Around 08 I started doing exercise/therapy on my knees, one in the morning and the other in the evening. I stopped for a while now rehabbing from my partial left knee surgery. I read the article about standing on one let a while ago. I tried...

    sleep

I had my right carotid artery cleaned and you have to be careful, can't lift over 10 lbs. Nine days after the surgery I had a active dream. I was sleeping in a Stadium against the wall. I woke up when a guy with a rifle slung over his shoulder was coming toward me. I knew he was going to dig in...

    Replacing the Knee

Just had a partial, left knee inside. All the advise given on this post is good, follow it. They offered me this knee bending machine, which I use. It shows you the degrees of bend and will keep doing that bend till you stop it. I might have to pay $250 deductible, but I don't care it works...

    Best fuel additives

What I read a while back was that the sulfur didn't lubricate the diesel. It was the process of removing the sulfur that also removed the lubricating properties of diesel fuel. I use Power Service white bottle. Also bioside, 1/2 oz per 30 gal added to my diesel fuel cube. I only use around...

    L3940 loaders?

I have the LA724 on my L3540HSTC-3. Get it with the SSQA and buy the 6' round back heavy duty bucket with the bolt on hardened edge. Holds .5 yard level and .6 yard heaping.

How do you store you logging/tow chain?

Except for two 20' gr120 9/32", all my chains are 10' long with a slip hook on one end and a grab on the other. I have a friend that live two miles away and he is my tractor mechanic, welder and fabricator. He's made me many things already over the years. I keep a 1/4" 10' gr70 under my clutch...

    steering wheel spinner knob

I've had mine on my B7100DT for 44 years. I don't have power steering or a FEL and it works great. Mine is at 6 o'clock. I don't need it on my L3540 with power steering. The power steering doesn't work on the Ferguson TO-35 and the steering is hard.

    Problem with Bald-faced hornets

I had a baldfaced hornet nest in the entrance to the cow barn, also one on the woodshed. I didn't know what it was and it kept getting bigger. I don't know why I didn't do something about it. I don't go into the cowbarn often, but I would walk by the nest only about 2 feet by my head and never...

    stopping B 7100

I bought my B7100DT new in 1978. Change the coolant every two years and you won't have any problems. Also install a screen (mine is plastic) in front of the radiator to keep it clean. On the older models like mine the rear hubs would loosen up. On TBN I found out about a updated hub. I called...

    No more 'treadle pedal'

Your suppose to test drive it first. I learned about what I wanted from reading on TBN and talking to my buddy who has a L3830HST. I didn't even sit on my buddies tractor or drive it. I didn't go to the dealer, because it's 150 miles from here. Called them on the phone, got some quotes and then...

For those that hate the treadle pedal on Kubota

Screwed that one up. I have arthritis in my ankles also. I use the wing to go forward and press on the bottom to back up, but the bottom is too low so I added with tie wraps a couple of one by blocks. This is a Grand L and it has a clutch, bought it in 2012.

For those that hate the treadle pedal on Kubota

[/ATTACHRE My first picture ever posted. I tried over the years without any luck. I have arthritis in my ankles and can't use the treadle. I use the wing to go forward and press on the bottom to back up, but it was too low, so I added the two pieces of one by. My older brother who was a...

    6x6 treated posts in ground

The grade slopes away from my PB on all 4 sides. I know of one PB where it's level with the ground, the concrete is cracked and the frost tearing the PB apart in some places.

    6x6 treated posts in ground

I have a Cleary Pole Barn 40'x60' built in 2014. They use 3 2"x6" treated completely and nailed together to make a 6"x6". With this there isn't any warping. Then for strength they cut the middle 2x6 for height leaving the outside two higher, set the truss on the middle one and bolt the truss and...

If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?

Very true. We all have to spend some money to help the economy, especially our local businesses. My older brother, passed, he spent money, but didn't like to. He had a million when he died. I don't have any heirs, so my plan is to spend what I have and bounce the last check!
