I live in a rural area and my EV works fine for any situation. They simply will work for most people in most areas.

15-20 minutes will get you about 200 miles on a Tesla supercharger. I have a full charge about 6 hours after I get home if I’m at 20%. I rarely fill my ICE and not have to use the restroom when traveling long distances.

NON ISSUES. 240 volt charger is easy to install and fire risks are over blown.

Both of those concerns are non-issues. I installed a 240 volt charger for my Tesla Y for about $600 including the charger at my house. The fire risk is completely overblown. I'm suspecting the fire issue is because of bad wiring and poor installation.

After I put bar tires on the rear of my zero turn I rarely get stuck. It will rut a wet yard though.

My kids rarely visit (busy lives and some live states away) although we visit the closest ones every now and then. My wife and I don't have close friends but I enjoy being with my wife. After raising 9 kids we are fine with with no company. ;)

For me the biggest environmental reason to get an EV is the reduction of noise pollution. I don't know how many times I heard a truck with a disabled or modified muffler (violating state transportation code) going down my street when I lived in a neighborhood.

I think it would be easier to subtract your mileage from last years registration from your current mileage and multiply by fee imposed by the state. That would be fair. The state of Texas imposing an arbitrary fee of $200 on my EV each year PLUS the registration fee of $75 is asinine.
