4707

Looking at getting a 4707, deluxe cab, Dyna 2, air suspended seat, 3615 SL loader, third function, rear wheel weights, visio roof. Closest dealer, Kioti and Massey, just started handling Massey this year, not sure how long he's had Kioti. Been in business several years, mostly lawn and garden stuff, but is building a new BIG complex to move into after first of the year, so I think they are in it for the long haul. Not sure of their maintenance capabilities of bigger tractors, but plan on finding out. Anyway, they have one, but with 931x loader and no third function and no visio. I'm trying to work out a deal to get it with the loader I want.

I think they are offering only the standard discount, so I called Bruno's today and told them what I was looking for, so I could get a realistic competitive price. They didn't have any that matched but had some more on order. But, not with Dyna, he didn't think. He says he can't get them and thinks they may not be available in the 4700 series any more. WHAT??? He didn't say he was told that, but is an assumption, since the ones he's had ordered had been switched to 12x12 power shuttle. Anybody else heard that?

Would really like to know why short lived, if true, and am hesitant to get the one with it now.

Edit: BTW, Dyna 2 is not an option in the build my massey for any of the 4700 series.

Given that the Dyna 2 doesn't provide a lower first gear (or a lower split for first gear), I'm glad I didn't spring for it. Also, if you want the FL series loader, do not settle for the 900 series. You will kick yourself every single day you use the tractor.

Somewhere on Facebook a dealer had posted due to parts shortages the dyna 2 would not be available till mid summer 22 I think

I was hoping it would be a down shift too, but think I would like the brake to neutral and other features of it. As far as the Visio roof, Bruno's said several they have sold to with it say it makes the cab hotter, anybody experienced this when it was hot and bright outside?

Wonder what parts might be store stocked between now and then if needed? Unless I overlooked it, I haven't read about defective problems with the Dyna.

I never had to turn the a/c up past the second position in the heat of NC summer. Might be nice if they put a manual shade on it.

There is a manual sunshade that comes with the visio roof.

I never used it so forgot that, thanks.
I was more challenged by the steel protection grate over the glass roof and figuring out how to wash the outside of the glass. Just hard to get to.

Now I never let the tractor sit out in the sun and started from 100 degrees or more. Mine was always in the barn, warm in the summer, very cold in the winter.
I liked the way it automatically figures out how long to run the preheat for. I would have run it longer...

OK, I have to post this (again). I've gone back to the dealer in an attempt to figure out how to operate the 3pt hitch arms in a way that actually works. They had a tech go out to a 4707 on the lot and go through the motions on how to raise and lower the arms. He didn't seem comfortable doing it, as if he really didn't know what he was trying to do, but I nodded yes at the end and said OK, I'll try again. No dice. It's as if the 3pt hitch arms have a mind of their own. It is absolutely impossible to be precise with raising or lowering them. Sometimes, I get a trailer hitched up and everything looks hunky dory...and then without any more input by me on the controls...they go up or down on their own. It is getting ******* annoying.

I've got a steel building that I park work trailers in, and I've got six inches of headroom to spare with one of the trailers. Of course, as I'm backing into the building, the 3pt arms start going up on their own and the top of the trailer nearly whack the supports overhead.

I really, really like this tractor...except for this BS. Problem is, tractors are MADE to pull and the 3pt hitch is fully half of a tractor's capability (the loader being the other half). What good is half a tractor?

You should be able to turn the draft control knob all the way down and then just use the slide for position control. You may want to try swapping out the top link pin at the tractor with a normal pin, 1" I do believe, and see if the problem goes away. The Bosch three point controls those tractors use are some of the best.
