I have a Bad Boy 1022 Sub-Compact Tractor on the way and my other half “requested” a tiller. The 1022 is rated at 21.5 HP with 15.4 HP at the PTO. The question is this tractor capable of handling a Bad Boy (48 inch) ROTARY TILLER - BBRT48. It describes working with a 25 HP-45 HP range. I am...
I bought a used 5' tiller from ACE Hardware Rental when they had an auction last year in my area, liquidating all their equipment.
It's painted JD Green.
I'm trying to ID this and it looks like in a style of KingKutter, maybe CountyLine. Is there any ID somewhere that would confirm? I'm not...
Just wondering if there are some BX25D owners on TBN that till with them. I'm thinking of a tiller for this spring, and wondering what is a good match for that tractor. From what I've read, 48 is probably the maximum width tiller for the BX25? I'd like to be able to till at least 6 inches deep...
recently purchased king kutter tiller. Put oil in and grease tiller as well as pto shaft. Had to cut down pto shaft by 2.75” to fit tractor. When pto in engaged all is well but once tiller touches the ground it make a loud banging sound. Any idea what the problem could be?
I have a TMG 72 inch tiller I bought used...I haven't operated it yet so I hope it's OK...I have received a manual from TMG so hopefully it has the information I need...I want to change the oil in the gear drive end and the gear drive housing...not sure how much oil to fill either....comments...
I inherited a 4.5’ Yanmar Grey Market Tiller when my Dad passed away. I have been going over it to get it operational. Planning to use it with my new KIOTI CS2520.
I read these Grey Market Tillers have a shear pin on the tine roller shaft since the PTO input on the gearbox is splined. However, I...
Hey gang, my father has a KTST6 tiller that he's had for 7 years now and of course I'm responsible for the servicing.
I'm trying to find a parts diagram / breakdown of the top gearbox. I need to replace the double lip output seal that Mahindra is calling a "non-serviceable part". It's leaking...
Clutch won't seem to disengage. Clutch cable pulls tight but to no effect. Someone suggested that after sitting unused for a while with clutch engaged - as in storage for a long time - clutch discs, cones or whatever is in there may rust/corrode together. Any comments on this?
Thanks,
Beetgrower
I have a land pride tiller for my kubota L3800 and have replaced the gasket on the side of it a couple of times but it still leaks oil and I don't really want to change it again because I know it will just contine to leak again. What sort of solutions are there to remedy this?
In 2005 I bought what the invoice said was a KT09-59 tiller, but in fact is a KT03-59.
I have manual for KT09 but need KT 03. More specifically I need the part number for my KT03-59 as lower bearing has gone bad.
I still would like KT03-59 manual which I guess dealer should have given with...
Bought a new Tarter 6ft tiller. It has a PTO slip clutch which I've never had any experience with before. When I noticed the retaining pin/bolt was missing I called and asked about that and they said just use a bolt and nut with lockwasher. What a PITA that is to hookup under a PTO guard...
I'm looking for advice. The SIL seems to want me to get a rototiller for my Allis D-17. for food plot work. Other than needing a 6 footer - to cover the rear tire width, I know little about them. New/used, brand, what to look (out) for?
I broke my roto tiller this spring and need to get it fixed. The shaft that holds the tines broke in half. Looks like a new one is $1200. My questions are:
Someone told me I could take it off and get it welded back together. To me it seems like it wouldn't hold.
Does anyone know where I might...
Hello everyone. I'm really new to all of this, I feel like a knucklehead. Would it be better to buy an offset tiller or center? Do I have to match the width of the tractor?
Thank you all.
Hello everyone. So lately I've being thinking of buying a rototiller for my tractor and I've being searching a lot of options. I looked a few different American brands, including couple of Italian brands like....Caroni and Cosmo. My problem is that all of them or almost all of them need a drive...
Hello everybody. I'm trying to decide which rotary tiller to buy for my 1825E Massey Ferguson. After going back and forth I end-up looking at the Caroni tillovators with clutch. I was looking at the.. 32in. 36in. 48in. and the 56in. and they all require between 15 to 40 HP at the PTO which is...
Hello everyone, I'm new here. I have an Iseki SR1610 rototiller I am having a terrible time finding an owners manual, parts manual or any information on really. I'm rebuilding it and got just about everything else done but the tines replaced. If anyone has a parts manual or owners manual or any...
I recently purchased a 2020 BX2680 (September) and love it. I'm looking to attach a tiller and wanted to know if anyone has suggestions on brand, where to purchase, etc. I've been all over youtube, searched a couple vendors. Some won't ship to a residence. I just wanted to tap the knowledge of...
Gang, a friend of mine has this Yanmar tiller and I'm working on. The goal is to get it back to a "usable" state and I can see that it has a leaking seal on the gearbox drive end. Also, the previous owner tried to create a 3pt a-frame but this was clearly their first fabrication job.
How...
I was given a YM135 that runs but I'm working on it. It needs some help. I need a new seat for it and an air filter and radiator cap that actually fits it. The 3 point hitch is gone too so I'm looking for those parts.
With that said, I now have the opportunity to get a YM1401 with a...
My MT342HC has a rear tire width of 66" outside to outside. This model also has a PTO horsepower rating of 33.6HP. The Operator's Manual also recommends a maximum width for a rotary tiller as being 65". In looking at various tillers they have min/max PTO horsepower requirements. For example the...
Hi
I am trying to work out how to mount the tiller on my Iseki tx2160. I can see that it does go on a 3pt linkage. The 2 short link arms go directly onto the lift arms but how do the 2 lower mountings attach to the tractor? Any drawings or pictures would be a great help.
Countyline 6ft tiller about 5 years old, gets used about 4 hours per year.
Hooked up to tiller turned on pto. tiller tines turned for about 10 minutes in field then stopped turning. Usually the slip clutch and a rock are involved. Not this time, slip clutch works fine, output shaft from pto...
Excuse my ignorance on the subject of tractors. I’m borrowing a NH 37 Workmaster coupled with a KK 60” tiller. The guy I’m borrowing it from is a suite and tie guy with a piece of hunting property and is more ignorant than me when it comes to anything mechanical. Anyway while using his unit...
Kubota Tiller FL 1270
Gearbox Part # 70494-51110
I have been searching for an operator’s manual with no luck.
I think I need one of 2 things. I either need to find out the oil capacity and oil type for this gear box or I need someone with experience to tell me how to fill this so I don’t use...
We have had several instances where dirt and debri has caused the right side tiller bearing has become plugged with dirt and debri. We have hsd to replace the ball bearing and seal once and the poorly design use of a simple c ring retaining the tiller shaft into the bearing
Any suggestions is...
My reverse tine tiller seems to pulll dirt from one side of the garden to the other and digs deeper then the yard around it. Anyone else have this happen? Using the plow, disc and drag did not do this (kept the land more level and even. I like the tiller for its convenience and it does turn the...
My twenty year old Tray Bilt tiller will run for five minutes then it starts sounding as if it is under load, missing slightly, rpm starts varying, and it dies. It won't restart until it sits for ten minutes. Then the process starts again, run for ten minutes, then stall. Any ideas?
I just purchased a I think rs 1202 yanmar tiller, previous owner made a extended 3 point. I pulled off the drive chain and it was snapped. The gear box is sealed except for a access plate. The chain is about 38 inches long, Looking to get a drive chain and some new bearings.anu help is appreciated
Is an older BCS 201 the same as any rear tine tiller? The 201 cannot have any other attachments than the tiller part. I know a guy with a used one for about 400, but if it's the same as any other tiller, because you don't have other attachments, why not get a newer rear tine? I'm not sure why...
While I was replacing my axle seal on my F15D, the tiller sprung a leak.
I replaced seals on both sides, and both sides the seals were in horrible condition. They were shredded. The bearing on the right side was shot, too. I updated the bearing with an 2RS series to help prevent the elements...
First time poster.
I have an F15D Forte with a RSA1201 auto tiller on it.
Currently, I'm in the process of changing my rear axle seal.
While in the process I thought I'd address my gauge wheel that isn't turning.
I started the disassembly process but I'm currently stuck at this point as the...

Hi all,
Does anyone know if I can use a Kubota FS1000 48" Tiller with the Kubota B2601.
My son in law lent me this tiller and I want to be sure that it can be used before I unload it off the trailer. This tiller has a sliding shaft with the PTO connection on one end and it slides into the...
Anyone running a cx2510 with a tiller? I've been looking for a 48" or 50" rear discharge. I hear good things about certain brands but then bad as well. Hoping ti fund some reviews from actual users.
I am interested in getting a rototiller for my Kioti LK3054. The tractor has a rated engine HP of 30HP, but is limited at the PTO to 25HP. I am finding conflicting information online about HP capacity and a tractor's ability to pull a tiller and I'm hoping someone on here might be able to speak...
Hello,
I have this old sovema tiller, I'm not sure exactly how to change the oil. My assumption is that the bottom bolt is a drain plug (even though it says oil level), the big screw on the left is the fill-to hole, and you fill it in the top, but anyone know for sure?
A friend bought a 50" Landpride tiller at the Kubota dealer. We used it this weekend but I was not super impressed with the depth it was able to till to. We used a ripper to rip 3 4' wide by 40 foot long rows. We then added some Compost and went to tilling it seems like the tiller only tilled...
We are replacing the double seal behind the bearing set but we also noticed another shot rubber seal on the other side of the side transfer box toward the shaft. I don't see any mention of this nor where I can order a replacement? Can anybody who has taken one apart advise?
Hi, I'm working on an old Troybilt Horse tiller and I'm trying to identify the model number so I can look up and order parts. Unfortunately the ID tag is gone and the only info I have to identify this tiller is the following:
Cast on the handle is GARDENWAY TH-1019 10/25/70.
Stamped on the...
I'm planning on smoothing out about an acre of land previously farmed a few years back. It's really bumpy with old rows and weeds currently.
I'm thinking tilling and landplanning it out then seedling with grass.
Anyone have suggestions on the tiller size the will work best on a cx2510? I...
I'm going to break down this year and buy a tiller.
I'm looking at Woods because it is who makes my blower and what my dealer carries.
Question is, will the GC handle a 60 inch tiller or do I need to go with a 48?
Manufacturer says I should use the 48.
With the spacers on my rear wheels a 48...
Hi just joined hoping I can get some insights from some who are more experienced than I. I would like to change the gear oil in my pto tiller and I don't have a manual for it. Anyone happen to have info on a Howard HA 130 WU tiller as far as gear oil capacity and type needed. Also are there...
I have a 5ft tiller that needs parts and I don't know what brand it is. The gearbox says McKenney on it. It has a chain drive on each end. It has two wheels out back. The only paint I found was under the gearbox and it was red.
I would appreciate any clues. I will take a picture and post it...
Greetings all,
I've been working with an older BCS model, basically an antique from the 1980s. Mostly I use a rear tiller and a box scraper. I'm looking at getting one of the newer models and looking at attachments, and the rotary plow is pretty impressive. My question is: if you had to pick...
I went to my local Ace rental place and they didn’t have a 5’ foot PTO tiller available to rent. they said they had 2 - 6 foot tillers. It turned out that I got the Woods 72.40 and it’s heavy! I wasn't sure I should even get it with comments I had read online about larger pieces of equipment on...
I am new to owning a tractor and I have a shuttle shift 1626. I am looking to start a garden this year and I would like some wisdom from the community on PTO Tillers. I would like to purchase a 5ft tiller that will hold up well to dirt, clay, and rocks. I don't want to spend too much since this...
Just got done year 1 with tractor and tiller. Lots of use and lots of maintenance needed. I noticed these bolts i'm pointing to are loose around. Seems like suppose to be that way? FYI I have Tar River 6' tiller. thank you
1st year of tractor along with tiller is in the books, and it was a big one. It was a pain for me to put it on, so i left it on most of season. It took a beating because of that, but also very handy to use often. Im missing a few parts I need to put back on and any other end of season you'd...

Hey ya'll I'm back with another DIY farm repair, this time replacing the gearbox seals and bearing on a King Kutter 5ft PTO tiller. One day when I arrived at the farm I noticed a large pool of gear oil under the right hand side of the tiller. I ended up tracing it to coming out the tine shaft...
While I'm not a total novice, I'm no tractor expert at all. My 33 HP TYM HST has held up well over the years, and I have no trouble swapping my brush hog, box blade, or rake on and off my 3 pt hitch.
I bought a tiller (Shibaura RS 3147, also sold as Yanmar) for a song and a dance. I've...
I came across a Muratori MA125 rototiller on Craigslist. My research didn't turn up a lot of information on the web from users but did get excellent response from US distributor and OEM in Italy. It looks like spares are available. In addition, Anna tracked down the build date for the example I...
