My experience over 40 yrs. with concrete like Eddie says nothing beats rebar for adding strength to you slab and controlling cracks. I always use 40 minimum psi concrete now they use mpa ? as a term so I don't know what no.that would be to use for strength. For a 4" slab you want your rebar 1" from the bottom. I don't often use chairs but as the concrete is being laid I lift and shake it real well to get the concrete firmly around it with chairs and having it pumped ( not wheeled) I use a vibrator. I'm not a fan of control joints either because in my opinion they just collect dirt. What ever is done with concrete there's not changing your mind without a large expense so taking time so proper preparation and a few extra $ for rebar and higher strength concrete is well worth it.
