My Garage/Shop Heater Install

Yeah that is the scary part as the intermittent ground was two outlets away from where it is plugged in.

Since my shop time is irregular, I am now thinking of how I could turn on/off the heater from the house or phone maybe. Gonna have to do some research on smart thermostats I suppose.

I have Honeywell WiFi thermos that I like better than the others.

I also have some WiFi power switches and outlets that work great and inexpensive. Not sure though if cutting the power would do the same as a thermostat.

I shouldn't have said 'turn on/off' instead I meant to bump the heat up or back it down to its default programmed setting.

That would never work for me. I’d use the ap to turn off. Worry about it working and walk out to the shop ten minutes later.....

Yeah; set it at 50 (warm enough to stop condensation) and man up (or wear a warm hoodie like I do) ... Steve

Me too. I've got up and looked outside toward the shop to make sure I turned the lights off...…..
