Putting a Mahindra backhoe on a Yanmar YM2310?

Putting a Mahindra backhoe on a Yanmar YM2310?

Can anyone succinctly explain trailering numbers found in a Ford Vin lookup?

Pretty easy to figure out. Cab, wheel base length, 2wd or 4wd and trans + axle ratio combo gives what you can tow and numbers on the left are the total weight of vehicle contents and trailer weight and load. GCWR = gross combined weight ratio. You have to figure the weight of truck and the...

Why would a mower melt 20 amp fuses?

Sounds like pto clutch about to go belly up. Charging is under flywheel. That's what's called a stator. Only puts out 3 - 15 amps tops. If pto clutch does die or find its the problem, replace the pto switch also. Better to do at same time to avoid more issues. Good luck.

Would you buy a 30 year old truck with 51 miles on it?

Being as it was stored in shed and started periodically, the engine will probably be okay internally. Hoses, tires and bushings are the biggest issues. Bid with repairs in mind. IH trucks are worth repairs. Good luck with endeavor.

    Block Heaters 24/7

Smart plugs are the way to go for a block heater! I have my truck on one and have it set to come on when below a set temperature and during a set time frame in the AM. If I need another time, I open the app and turn on the plug! Sure beats coming on every morning if not below temperature!

Thinking of building a small towable mobile power/welding unit?

Yep, that's a rebranded Generac. 17 amps might be to low for the welder to get a good arc going. Won't hurt to try and see if you can get a stable arc at 90amps on welder. If you could find a 30amp 240 circuit generator, you'd be better off. I run an AC/DC Tombstone on a 30amp 240v house circuit...

    Aux power electrical connectors

Anderson power pole connectors are the way to go. They allow disconnect capabilities and lock together side to side. Each time you disconnect them, they wipe the contact point helping to provide good contact. The small single units work up to 45amp. I use them on battery to hook up trickle charger.

Testing Starter on Branson 3520H - Need confirmation that I'm doing it correctly.

9 out of 10 it's the solenoid or bad ground. Unless you swamped the starter or excessive cranking, the main starter motors are pretty tuff. I think all the wrangling you did with starter cleaned the ground contact against the block.
