I had an ARPS dozer blade on my Ford 850. It worked pretty decent with hydraulic lift, but I had to change blade angle manually. Even on the 2wd tractor it was very productive. Having a FEL plow on a 4wd tractor now is much better especially for deep snow.

I'm not seeing retail prices dropping yet. Just comparing the OP prices to my current prices, they are still much higher now. Treated 4"x4"x16' is $42. 4'x9' OSB is $52. Feels like they are either still creeping up or at least holding steady.

Let's calm down about the grease or lack of it. It was the manual-screw top link, and hand crank on the side link. Possibly the least critical points for grease on the tractor. They should have been greased, but a single pump will last years on those.

The rough stud/construction grade spf framing lumber is more expensive than #2+ yellow pine ground contact treated lumber in the same sizes. 10' 2x4 stud grade SPF is $14.69. Same size #2 YP treated is $14.39 here.

You might try to go through the motions for lights and switches in the dark too. It's hard to get the same feeling in daylight, and when it's dark you might think of additional switches or especially 3-way's.

I like my PTB for all around uses, as several stated above. One of the reasons I chose the PTB was the beef it added to the existing cutting edge of my bucket. My bucket edge was getting abused and bent, so I straightened it a bit to get the new bar on there and it's held it's shape since then.

I use gravity for watering my trees. I have used several barrels and tanks, on a trailer, 3 point hitch/carryall, and FEL. All using a garden hose and gravity.
