Just to clarify; Spacing out the rear wheels will aid stability sideways, but a little visualization will make it clear that it will not help your fore and aft stability. For this you need a counter weight behind (backhoe, etc.), which is most effective, or more beet juice or wheel weights.

Yes, the filter physical location shouldn't matter, as long as the hose arrangement keeps the filter in line upstream from the fuel pump. I bought a kit with a spin on filter, but there's no reason you couldn't just relocate the original one yo make changing it easier.

I have had very good results with my subcompact bx25d picking up brush piles with the regular bucket and the add-a- grapple and the piranha tooth bar. It doesn't drop broken brush and small debris. You can do some effective brush grubbing with this setup, as well.

I like the treadle on my BX25D. Nobody has mentioned its big advantage: when you turn your body to look backwards for reverse, you don't have to contort your leg to pressing the reverse side of the treadle. Plus it's intuitive: front end to go forward, back end to go reverse.

Yes, even the BX25D manual says that. But it's really impractical, so I doubt that anybody actually drains the liquid ballast, then pumps it back in, over and over. Maybe there's some legal liability issue; but you can't do that in the real world.

Well, I checked the nut with a thread gauge, and then that's the die that fit, and then the nut went on and held. I think the tractors are a mix of metric and SAE.

Should I worry about this? On my Kubota BX25D, the curl cylinder bounces in and out a little at the end of its travel when I curl it, and also when I'm driving with a load in the bucket. Since I added an Add-a-Grapple lid to it, this motion is accentuated. In other respects it works fine.

For bombproof caulking that will adhere to anything forever, try 3M 5200. It's made for marine use, and on my boat, it's still tight after 20 years in saltwater.
