I live in a suburb of Houston which is not the safest of cities. We don’t have a lot of home break-ins because most homes have guns inside.

These are so handy, I will just buy more if one breaks.

I have a 2013 5045 D and the transition between the engine and transmission has always been hot…..but never a problem.

I have a Frontier finish mower that looks essentially the same as these two. Mine has done well for six or seven years, although you can tell that I’ve used it as a rotary mower more than I should have. They are much more durable than they appear .

Our two cleaning ladies of 15 years are from Mexico, speak little English, do a good job and are honest. They don’t work on their English and I haven’t learned any Spanish. In 20 years, Spanish will be the norm in many parts of Texas, and we have no one to blame but ourselves!

I never knew the employee, I do know they had instructions from Gary to never open the locked door if confronted with a robbery...even if they had a hostage! Gary had a small office next door where I did business with him.

The courtesy booth on Almeda had 2 inch glass on the teller cage. They sold boudin in the meat Dept. And cashed many payroll checks. Also a convenience store next door that sold plate lunches and lots of beer.

Gary shot several people breaking into his store on Almeda Road and one of them as the guy was crawling out of a window trying to get away. He was an interesting man to talk to.

Gary Pyburn was a friend and recently passed away.

Don't know all the details of your mothers estate, but I would check with a CPA to determine if you get a "stepped up basis" which means that you inherited the home for the value at the time of her death, not at the time she bought, thus no tax on any gain?

It took much work and a lot of time to get the overgrown fence lines cleared and taught me to keep after them as they grow up very quickly. Never ending battle and makes one appreciate herbacides

I have the same problem with the weight, but I think they are perfect for trimming trees. My solution, after much thought is to hire the handyman down the road to hold it up. I don't mind buying it and letting him use it.

The family farm has a few old remaining pecan trees. The trees are very brittle and tend to be difficult to maintain and are as messy as a magnolia. Almost as bad as a hackberry. My wife's grandfather, a lifelong farmer had planted them hoping for a cash crop, but my recently deceased father...

We will never have a scenic view tax around here as there is very little "view"!
