My drive is a quarter mile long and ten feet wide. Chip and seal was around 11k, paving quote came in at 30k and I didn't trust it. This is in NE Ohio.

Guess I don't understand why you would've moved away from chip and seal. I had ours done for $1 per square foot, and have now had a subsequent layer put on at the same cost. Is it an option for you to go back to chip and seal?

I have actually always thought that post count has never really meant much to people on TBN. You can get called a "Noob" on some other forums I frequent. I've not seen that here. As a matter of fact, I tend to admire more the posters that have been here for a long time and have fewer posts.

Funny, I've always paid attention to the credit score I am provided by Capital One every month. When I bought my truck a couple of years ago the finance guy said he was impressed by my credit score. He had me at 10 or so points higher than what Capital One reported.

If you use your credit card and pay the bill in full every month (don't miss payments) your score should improve, unless other factors are dragging it down. There are more than a few factors that determine your credit score.

I've been rear ended at a high rate of speed. Believe me, you don't want it to happen. It's the biggest reason I don't like tailgaters. For years after it happened I always had one eye on my rearview mirror (which is also not a good habit).
