Snow Snow plowing recommendations for gravel road

In my mind you don't get enough snow to warrant a blower. I do around a mile of private road & drive, all gravel. The most heard complaint about plowing gravel is getting it into the grass. I tried plow shoes, they just dug into the dirt as the ground isn't usually frozen the first couple and...

2N Rear blade will not go up in gear

More RPM's will speed it up. I usually lift it then go to where I am going to use it and drop it AT SPEED and work it. Not as easy to use as a 70 year newer unit but VASTLY better then horse drawn as was the norm of the day. My 2N gets used almost as much as my newer (1986) tractor. Just takes...

2N Rear blade will not go up in gear

  149. L

2N Rear blade will not go up in gear

The PTO on a 2N MUST be engaged to operate the 3 point arms. The clutch MUST be engaged for the PTO/3PT to work. When "in gear", you may raise the 3pt ONLY while in motion.

    Snow Chain Recommendation

I found that 2 link ladder chains for a garden tractor (MUCH cheaper) work just fine for me on the front. I have a half mile private road, 1/4 mile drive & 2 neighbors drives I do with hills. Real tractor 4 link chains on the back made the ride too ruff and were taken off that same day. Don't...

    Plow now or wait?

A little late but..... To some of us, 4" is questionable to plow or not. The rain will beat that 4" down to 2" with a crust. Again questionable whether to plow or not. In your case with the incline, I would plow AFTER the weather stops. Plow blade angled. Take as little or as much as you can...

Looks to me like you have them hooked up wrong. Hook goes through free end and back to link on hook end. As you pull it around to hook, it tightens up everything. I'll try to find a set with that hook & post a picture.

Being someone hauling big boats for hire, the number of axles tells me the trailer MAY be able to haul heavy boats but may have been used for length rather then weight.
